Hi Everyone,
I wanted to start this new thread so as not to clutter up Imphotep's thread.so I'm moving it here .I have come accross an unusual way of charging up a battery.I'm currently doing a different experiment which goes something like this.I took a battery and hooked up its + terminal to a secondary battery at its + terminal then from its -terninal I hooked it up to a 3rd batteries - terminal and then from the 3rd batteries + terminal ran it to a 12 volt halogen bulb rated at 20 watts and then from there to the - terminal of the first battery. The second battery shoots up pretty quickly and as a matter of fact its currently sitting @ 13.87volts from 12.56 at start. After about 1.5 hours. The first battery initially dropped down from 12.85v at start but seems to settle in at around 12.46 volts while the 3rd battery seems to take a bigger hit going from 12.98volts at start to about 12.37volts.I'm not quite sure what to make of this yet so dont read anything into this just yet.I dont currently have the Imhotep light setup now as I've moved on to the waterspark experiments and I also have burnt out all my transistors for my SSG .So my question is could someone try reversing a battery after the primary and let me know if that works in the SSG or the circuit you guys are running here .I dont believe it will work but who knows,Nothing ventured nothing gained. You guys (and Gal ) Are doing great work in this thread.Thx to all .
P.S. Be very very careful if you use a halogen bulb,Because they tend to leave nice little blisters on fingers that touch them .
