    Hi All,
I am planning to buy a car. Are there any fuel saving technologies available which can be installed in the car. As you gas prices are way high. Please suggest me some tips. Do you think it is good time to buy car. Or should I wait for next year.
    Please suggest me.
    Thanks
    Rajan

    Re: buying a car

    Hi Rajan,

You didn't say what type of vehicle you are interested in buying. I assume that you want something that is already inexpensive to operate, or which can be converted to do that at a reasonable price. Currently, the 2 best ways to run a car is on electric or on Hyrdogen, If you want to get off gasoline. Are you capable of doing your own modifications and installations? I suggest that you look at the following links to begin learning more about the technologies that I have mentioned:

YouTube - ELECTRIC VEHICLE SURGE TECHNOLOGY NO BATTERIES NO GAS

United Nuclear - Hydrogen Fuel Systems

    Best wishes, Rick

      Other factors

If price is no object and time not a factor...

GM is producing the Volt which is a electric vehicle and should be available soon for between 30 to 40 K.

Toyota has the Prius which is a proven performer using gas and electric tech.

Honda has a offering of several models in the Civic line that are reliable and appeal to a wide demographic.

Like Ric said without parameters on what you need there is a wide range of variables out there. If you can be more specific range can be narrowed

Thanks Rick and Wpage for quick replies. My budget is around $20 K. Is it safe to install the technologies my self. Are there any safety issues among alternative technologies? Any suggestion is welcome.
If I go for new car, what options are available without or minimal gas use?
IF I go for old car, what options are available without or minimal gas use?
