    G'day guys,

I was going to put this on the kiker thread but thought it may as well be on it's own. In my search for plasma ignition systems I came across these leads called nology hotwires. They have a built in capacitor. I have sent an email to the company for more info but so far haven't heard. So I was wondering if anyone had heard of them or had any experience with them.

they have been a round a long time.
I once bou8ght a set but never used them and returned them to the vendor because I got rid of the car.

I still have the nology car which I did install which did make the car feel much more energized throuh the ignition. Hard to explain but it basically hooked up to the factory igntion coil and made the car much more responsive.

      Thanks Dubsta,

With all the work going on over the water spark plug and increasing spark energy, I thought someone may have looked at them and noted any positive results!

      Cheers

        Hi Ozicell,

I saw the Nology spark plug wires when I was looking at Coil-On-Plug devices, never used them but here is the web site -

I Just read the today and remembered I had a fill that talked about useing capacitors to increase the efficiency of the spark. It was called a peaking capacitor. If you wish, I could send you a copy of the file.
            Just email me at mstanner@sc.rr.com

I remember my friend said that his car coil busted/over heat/oil dripped by the use of performance coil wire. He said that many user of performance coil wire also give warning too.

I think anyone should check the resistance of those wire first. Coil wire with zero resistance will increase spark considerably, but this will also heat up the car coil more. It would be safer to buy the wire in package with the coil, since this would means the coil is designed to withstand the heat generated by the low resistance of the wire.

I think using performance wire on ordinary coil would fry the coil.

I have a set of wires simular to theirs, but the spark plug that really makes a difference are the Firestorm spark plugs: YouTube - Firestorm Spark Plugs

But for now you will have to make them on your own or have a machinist make them for you.
