  • New Stuff Available....

    Well here it is....

My Current Limiting PWM! It is available in Kit Form and Ready Built for now.

    $35.00 Kit
    $60.00 Ready Built and tested

This is unique to others...If you set a certain current, and the limits are approached, it will back off the Duty cycle to keep in under the set current, plus it has FULL Mosfet Drive capability. It has Current control, Duty Cycle, and Frequency control. It uses a 100 AMP HexFet so it will be able to handle any booster, and running at 20amps it is very reliable and efficient. I have put this design through serious testing and have no problems.

The picture show my prototype that just has the Ground for the Booster coming off of it, but the new update has both + and - for your cell so it is super easy to hook up.

Also I have off board Trimpots available for those that want to put this in a case and have easily accessible controls, so if you want these, let me know and add $2 to your order.

Next I have redesigned the EFIE for a single Dual Efie design, basically both EFIE's on one board. This makes it easier for location selection and hook up. This is available for the original price of $40 per kit $60 Built.

Also the Single EFIE is available still along with the other PWM's at the original same price.

I am steering away from the rotary switches for selection and shifting to 3 way slide switches. Each selection on these 3 ways can preset to whichever setting you wish based off of simple dip switch settings. I think all of you will like this better because this slide switch can be stealthily installed anywhere on your dash cluster and is frankly more reliable than the rotary.

Keep in mind the built version, is just the electronics portion built (as shown in the pics). The switches are not installed, due to your particular set-up and installation. I do include some MUCH improved instructions on how to hook these up, and these are pretty much idiot proof.

I will be putting up a link to a URL that my ISP provided me with so it will be easier to order in the future. I will post it as soon as it's done (hopefully this weekend). It will be www.redmeanie.com.I will make everything that you will need for a "Booster" installation available. Like Relay's, Switches and the like that have all been tested and are all reliable brands.

Until then just send payment like before via Paypal to mira@creative-concepts.us

I will also be finishing up the Mixture Display also, which will run around $17 for the kit. It is super small and adjustable, so that you can shift what you feel is safe for your setup.

Thanks all of you for your input, and I feel these devices are all THAT ANYONE IN THE "BOOSTER" realm should need. However if you have any ideas let me know and I can help make it a reality!

    Nice work Red!

    Great looking board!

Don't need one right now, but I am working on something
you might be able to build for me soon :-)

    Keep up the good work!

      Cool Stuff!

      Nice Job Redmeanie,

I just completed building the earlier version of the PWM.

I had one of the electrical engineers at work help me test it out on scope. It works like a champ. I like the new PWM with the current limiting capability. What's the range you can preset the current to on the unit?

By the way, I am waiting on chemical to test out my booster design. Its a derivative of the archie blue cell and Smacks cell. I hope to break it in and have it running within a few weeks.

It's 110AMP Hexfet, and is setup for 0 to 100% Duty. Though I have not tested it past 35AMPs because, well I just don't have anything that gig to run! But that was only set about 30% cycle and the HEXFET stayed VERY, VERY Cool.

Keep me posted on your projects....

          Hydrogen generator - chemicals

          Hey Redmeanie,

My biggest challenge right now is getting some KOH. I have ordered from two suppliers and both are taking a long time to deliver. Any suggestions on where I can get some KOH shipped in a reasonable timeframe. I have been waiting four weeks from one supplier that is evidently overbooked....
