With the results from the past month that various fuel sources are viable for use with the plasma spark circuit it seems that it would be a good idea to discuss the ways which an engine could be made to run on any of the possible options.
I mean why settle for just gasoline, diesel, gasahol, soya oil or water if you can use any of them in the same engine? Why not even just a can of coke or if necessary even human urine...
So to kick off this discussion I propose that some thought needs to be put into how to make an engine adapt to the various fuels types.
For instance would it be possible to put a fuel sampler into the tank at some point in the piping system to analyse and adjust the timing of the spark to the fuel ratio?
There is probably not an off the shelf product for this and there will no doubt be some programming required to make the analyser work.
Would it be possible to mechanically adjust the switches to the correct position or would it be better to have multiple switches that could be read depending on the timings needed?
Could we even install a juicer into the system to get liquid from food scraps? Back To the Future anyone?
Would we need multiple tanks for the different fuel types possible or can they all be put into the same tank? After all oil and water don't mix.
Just a few ideas for discussion...
