Unsolved Mysteries

I've watched both videos several times now. The constant light shows make me think they are selling something. But that is not THE problem I have.

The problem I have is about the timeline and the precession. They say that Moses KNEW 6500 years ago that he was in the age of the bull (Taurus) and they were entering the age of the ram (Aries). Further on Jesus was said they were in the age of the fish (Pisces) and were entering the age of of the waterbearer (Aquarius).


Well? How did they know that? How did they know about percession? Where did that particular knowledge come from?

It seems to me an ENORMOUS leap from acknowledging the time and declaring that Moses and Jesus KNEW the times were and that they were changing. And, since the precession takes so long, no one man could have kept track of the movements of the stars. So far as I'm aware, there wasn't any written history then either.

So, how did they know?

The Piri Reis map ("Piri" pronounced /piɹi/) is a famous pre-modern world map created by 16th century Ottoman-Turkish admiral and cartographer Piri Reis. The map shows part of the western coasts of Europe and North Africa with reasonable accuracy, and the coast of Brazil is also easily recognizable. Various Atlantic islands including the Azores and Canary Islands are depicted, as is the mythical island of Antillia. The map is noteworthy for its depiction of a southern landmass that some controversially claim is evidence for early awareness of the existence of Antarctica.

History

The map was discovered in 1929 while Topkapı Palace was being converted into a museum. It is the extant western third of a world map drawn on gazelle skin. The surviving portion primarily details the western coast of Africa and the eastern coast of South America. The map was drawn in 1513 by Piri Reis, a famous admiral of the Turkish fleet, and presented to the Sultan in 1517. Piri Reis stated that the map was based on about twenty charts and mappae mundi. According to Piri these maps included eight Ptolemaic maps, an Arabic map of India, four newly drawn Portuguese maps of their recent discoveries, and a map by Christopher Columbus of the western lands.
The Piri Reis map is currently located in the Library of the Topkapı Palace in Istanbul, Turkey, but is not usually on display to the public.

Ancient technology

i don't know where it came from, i wasn't there. i doubt we will ever know with any certainty. as far as pursuing it, i think i'll pass. i cannot see the pursuit ever coming to conclusion, other than a speculation or assumption.
perhaps they came to the knowledge the same way we have in contemporary times, observation, recorded data and mathematical calculations.
there seems to be a perception that the ancients were living in the stone age, when archeology seems to offer evidence to the contrary. take the antikythera mechanism as an example, or the baalbeck trilithon. there are a great many wonders of the ancient world that we really don't know how they did it, but there they are.

great book by the way, should be required reading for all school children.

I concur as to the futility of pursuing this as the archeology necessary to prove any of this will never happen due to the area involved and the passage of too much time since then.

As for the ancients and their technology/mysteries here is a great site, in particular the ancient Indian empire with their aircraft and atomic weapons!

Thanks for all the GREAT replies.

I think, however, that we are deviating from the point of my post, which is that "I have a problem." I am concerned that facts were produced without evidence of a source. All the posts and links point to various anomalies throughout the world in regards the history. I read or reread them all with great interest. Many of the theories require, IMO, a stretch of the imagination to make a connection, or just plain faith. Call it an *avocation* if you will, but it is MY pursuit to find a concrete connection. I think that in the recent past there have been others who also have had the same preoccupation, making a global connection to a *universal intelligence* contributing to world cultures or something similar.

As an aside; I look at whatever evidence there is, including crop circles, to see if I can make a connection. It is just something to keep mind of mine active in it's older age. Also, I don't encourage others to *persue* my quest. "If it doesn't come from your own mind and your own mouth then it isn't yours."

Hi Ash, it is amazing and it is amazing what people can be skeptical of.

How does the Dogon tribe of Mali know such intricate details of the Sirius start system? They had details that we only knew in modern times.

There are so many examples of this that it throws out most theories that lay out conventional chronologies on what is supposed to happen in what order.

The Great Pyramid alone shows that the entire geometry of planet Earth was fully known down to not only down to the cubit but a fraction of an inch - a Hebrew of Scared or Pyramid inch, which is 1.001" of our today's inches. How could they have known?

I think there is more than enough evidence to point to guidance from elsewhere. Just my personal opinion.

Aaron it is always a valued and insightful opinion, it has inspired me to put together an introduction to this energy with those themes in it, i think it takes a great example of some thing like this to get people in the right frame of mind to envision and also to be inspired what greater things can be done.

yeah, not much to it at the moment... I don't like how the whole thing appears to be an advertisment for the venus project... that is where the emphasis seems to be at the moment.

Perhaps the forums will evolve beyond it. I hope so. All that needs to be achieved is a global awakening, and the promotion and support of a single organisation, however well intended, isn't going to achieve that.

I could happen ..
The video came out on the 3rd and what I remember was the ratings on
the 10th were 9000+ ratings after just one week, but 3 weeks after
the ratings are only 16819 now, less than double? Curious Stuff?!
