    THIS IS JACK,
    I REALLY NEED SOME HELP. I HAVE A 2001 FORD RANGER WITH A 4.0 V-6
WITH HGYDROGEN GEN. I AM GETTING IMPROVED MPG, MORE HORSEPOWER.
I CHECK ONE MY SPARK PLUGS TODAY, IT IS A STOCK PLUG. AFTER RUNNING WITH HYDROGEN FOR THE PAST 3 MONTHS. THE PLUG TIPS SHOWS
A LOT OF WARE FORM HEAT. DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA ON WHAT KIND OF PLUGS TO USE TO HANDLE THE EXTRA HEAT AND WILL THIS EXCESS HEAT
DAMAGE MY PISTONS. IAM SURE THERE IS SOMEONE WITH AN IDEA

    THANKS JACK

just go to the auto parts and ask for a colder plug....
they are usually one digit difference in the plug number.

example, bk5re is stock and bk6re is one level colder.

I find the best plugs available at present are the Halo. The only problem for some of us is that they come with resistors. They spread the "Spark" around the ring and out into the chamber - course they aint cheap
12% average increase in MPG - Halo Spark Plugs
They are certainly better than the Bosche 4 prong that I was using previously
If you want a manuel/cat pm me its pdf about 3.7mb - Don't know where it originated from.

Another first was sparked off when IVP manufactured the first spark plugs indigenously. And IVP was also the first to introduce the projecting nose spark plug and the 10 mm spark plug in India. Today IVP plugs are accepted as original equipment and by leading manufacturers of automotive vehicles in India. Now with a technical collaboration with S.p.a., Italy (a part of the fiat group)the company has gone a step further. Fiat is a leading industrial group and magnetti Marelli are the prime manufacturers of all automotive electrical accessories and leaders in spark plugs in Italy. This collaboration means above all a high quality product that will suit the new generation of automotive engines in India. These will also include the bimetallic Electrode Spark Plugs among others. The new technology will give spark plugs a new impetus not only in the Indian markets but also abroad.

I believe the issue with the plugs was residual electrolyte (steam/vapor from the electrolyzer carrying the corrosive electrolyte into the combustion chamber.)

Try Extremespark.com Give them a call and speak to Daniel.

I have the Torquestars and they work wonderfully. I drive a ford explorer with the same engine you have and I understand your woes. I too am working on HHO with other enhancers and our all ready sensitive engine becomes very finicky over plugs. Iridium or fancy platinum plugs don't seem to work as well as stock Autolites. When I get some more miles on these plugs I'll post more.

              Platinum Plugs

Platinum is used in Catalytic Converters because of it's high melting point, but very little is used (at $2000 per ounce)----and it is claimed to be a Chemical Catalysis, needed to burn the unburned carbon deposits collected on the Platinum coated screen wire. Recycle yards only salvage the platinum coated screen wire.

So, if Platinum Plugs have any real Platinum on the Tips, they should last longer.
Halo-Spark Plugs only fire on the nearest tip, but last longer because they have more surface area to burn-up.
As one tip decays, another tip takes the spark. Sparks only jump to the nearest point, and only last a few milliseconds.
So, combustion is triggered by the heat accumulated at the tip----and not by the spark.

But, PLASMA Plugs might improve the timing on cold Diesel Engines, and prevent the "knocking", when the Glow Plug is ON.
PLASMA PLUGS may also "crack water" vapor one of these days, like lightning. (See: "What Cracks Water?" on this Forum.)

The heat range of any spark plug is controlled by the area of the tip.
Smaller tips cool faster, etc., to prevent dieseling and improve the timing at high rpm.

But, will the High Heat damage the Ford Engine? Ask FORD!
