  • Please, need help with PWM

    Hello all,
I have a standard PWM from RedMeanie that I would like to try out.
I'm having trouble figuring out where the wires go though:
    + battery
    - battery
    + cell
    - cell

On the picture I saw here there were only three wires leaving the board though. One from where the "+" sign is printed on the board and two from the mosfet.

    Thanks!

    Match up

Cross match the diagram Red sent with the image from one of the other builders of the board
    "But ye shall receive power..."
    Acts 1:8

The diagrams do not show where the wires,
and the picture does not show where the wires go after leaving the board.
I guess I'm going to need a little more hand-holding than that.

Ok looking down at the board with the heatsink on the right.

The + on top goes to a + of your choice. This is the power for the Circuit, nothing else.

To the right of the heatsink are 2 Grounds (-). The Top Ground is the Unit Ground for the PWM. The bottom Ground is your Cell ground or whatever else you want to drive with the PWM.

The PWM works by "Pulsing" the Ground signal to your device. The device + is wired directly from your power source to your device.

Also The Unit Ground Should be of sufficient Gauge to handle the load you plan on pushing.

        Hope that helps!

          Thanks Red!

I hooked up a small pc case fan to test it out,
when I turn the VR the fan speed does not seem to change.
Is there a better way to test the circuit?
This was the first circuit I ever put together and I'm not sure it is working correctly.
