ScienceDaily (Dec. 31, 2009) — Most of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity does not remain in the atmosphere, but is instead absorbed by the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems. In fact, only about 45 percent of emitted carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere.

Here in Maine we had a three day blizzard this past weekend with bone chilling, howling winds. Tonight things have warmed up a bit to minus 5 degrees Celsius. Here's how it looks here. Photo taken after third day of shoveling out. That's my wife behind our truck.


Not unusual for Maine, but people are seeing similar weather deep into the south. No wonder the Arctic is warming - it has sent it's cold southward!

After health care, Obama must arm-twist Senate on climate bill

Vote in Senate soon against EPA action on global warming requires him to prove that carbon limits will boost the economy and create jobs. After the Copenhagen failure, he has a weak hand.


President Obama is making personal pitches with US lawmakers this week to resolve the last sticking points for passage of a final healthcare bill. That may be a model soon for the kind of hands-on persuasion he’ll need for his other big legislative goal – a law on climate change.


Mr. Obama’s persuasive style will be required to convince a dozen or so senators from coal-dependent states who are reluctant to tackle global warming. In two weeks, the Senate is expected to vote on a measure that would block the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from imposing strict limits on carbon dioxide emissions.



The Obama EPA has used the threat of regulatory action against coal and oil users as a political tool to force Congress to pass a law that would cap emissions of greenhouse gases. Even the agency admits that a new law, not unilateral action by the executive branch, is the best way to handle this problem. EPA has to rely on the 1970s Clean Air Act that was not designed for these types of emissions. And any EPA ruling on carbon emissions would likely be tied up in the courts for years, delaying a solution.

Are there any places on the earth where it's not unusually cold roght now? Aren't average temperatures "supposed" to be pretty constant, independant of time of year? Record lows are being set. So where is it hotter than usual? And is that area larger than Europe, Russia and North America together?
It must be the oceans, they are 70% of the earth's surface, after all...

My rain barrels froze over here in Summerfield, Florida. But it gets that way here at times, I have heard temps going down to 17 degrees. They normally spray ground water on the plants to protect them.

Anyhow i dont think it is over, EPA did still kiss Al Gores and Obamas Butt,
as they did declare CO2 as Pollutant, there are still no changes,
or official Statements, that Gouvernments disagree with this Theory,
or other Things, that are taken back like CO2 Tax.

Still 60% from USA still belive in GW, from a Poll,
I think, in Europe it are maybe even more, 70-80%,
because no Media talks or write about it, that it has debunked,
or that is only a big Hoax, with what they did fool Peoples now more then 10 Years.

And me will never forget about that, what did happen there the last 2 Months.

And there are even Vids from June last Year, where some did say it,
but you never listen, when you cant see, what is true.

CO2 and molecules

Got sent this today, thought it worth reproducing as it puts much into perspective, especially the amount of molecules. I read somewhere else that each CO2 molecule would need to be at 1000degC to create the supposed greenhouse effect:

Annually, 97% of Earth's CO2 is produced by Nature, 3% by humans (including industrial and transport activity). Those estimates are provided by the UN IPCC itself.

Earth's oceans contain 50 times the CO2 in Earth's atmosphere. Earth's biomass, oceans, near-surface rocks and soils contain 100,000 times the carbon in the atmosphere.

Nature completely dominates the production of CO2. Nature alone determines absorption of CO2 from the atmosphere back into the oceans, biomass, soils and near-surface rocks. Thus, as an entirely natural part of Nature's essential carbon cycle involving all life on Earth, Nature alone determines atmospheric CO2 levels.

World-wide, scientists estimate CO2's Atmospheric Residence Time at 5-7 years. Recent studies show that in as little as 12 months, Nature reabsorbs CO2 out of the atmosphere.

In every 2,600 molecules of air, only one is CO2. Of the CO2 molecules only one in 33 is produced by humans. Thus, in every 85,800 molecules of air only one is a molecule of CO2 produced by humans. That this can warm Earth is nonsense. That the UN IPCC and the federal government want us to believe that in every 85,800 molecules of air, a single CO2 molecule produced by humans warms the planet yet the other 32 produced by Nature does not is insane.

For a lie to take root and hurt us all, it only needs us as honest men and women to turn a blind eye.

Rudd-Wong misrepresentation of carbon: No science, no integrity, no benefit, no need - no way.
