    Hi Folks,

Here is the latest article about the Copenhagen Climate Summit, and what went wrong. The most important thing to see in this article is that the "climate change agenda" is alive and well at the international level, and all of the revelations about "bad climate science", "poor record keeping" and the like have not slowed down the climate train, at all!

Also, thanks, Rickoff for all of your great posts to this thread!

Another big Lie on this is, that anything should go over Broker and Banks
and dissappear probatly into black Channels.
When this 'Economy-Experts' really would wanna help other Countrys,

You're quite welcome, Peter, and thanks to you for starting this topic of discussion. I think everyone has learned a lot here. Too bad the mainstream media hasn't learned much, or doesn't have the courage or determination to tell it like it is.

        Best regards,

        Rick

        • I really don't get why there is such a stir over one common molecule (CO2), which comprises such a small percentage of the atmosphere. The surplus CO2, for which these guys claim is man-made, and in excess of what the planet can naturally cycle, is even smaller, compared to everything else floating around, yet, supposedly is the greatest threat to life on this planet. Still don't see which is the cause, and which is the effect. Looks to me, that the planet is warming (as it should, since its only been 11,000 years or so, since a major Ice Age). No one seems to dispute that the global temperature was much warmer, and CO2 levels higher during the dino-days. Personally, I'm looking forward to the warmer climate, kind of why I moved to Florida. Although, this winter has been one of our worst, can't last much longer.

It's a huge planet, that we live on, we just don't have that much influence. Mostly, we are just parasites along for the ride. I would like to see people clean it up some, who wants to live in a cesspool. Mostly, we know that the planet is heading toward some changes, that we can prepare and adapt to, that's what we ought to be focused on. Don't think Team Gore cares about survival, just turning making a few bucks off of it.

The scary part, is the cult-like structure of this whole movement. It's pretty much entirely faith-based. Even other scientist have to trust in the data the are handed, because it so heavily manipulated, so it can fit neatly on the coveted 'Hockey-stick' graph. Charismatic leaders, repetitious messages of doom and destruction, a promise of salvation for those who follow, even instructions on how to overcome the skeptics, and convert them.

The Nobel Prize... What happened? Is it for sale these days, or are they just having trouble finding somebody willing to take it. After Al Gore, and Obama, think I'd decline, if offered. Seem to be about as well qualified, but the award seems to be meaningless these days.

Finally, Health Care reform should be resolved this week, pass or fail (logical). Either way, got a hunch Climate Change will be the next issue up. Just seems like the time is ripe, since the can claim tax revenue and plenty of new green jobs for starving Americans. Regardless of the science, it'll look attractive to the economy, unfortunately it'll just dig the hole a little deeper.

Out of interest I had been trying to organize a public event called "The Great Climate Debate". I was looking at booking a hall for 500 -1000 people. I had no problems getting speakers such as Monkton, Bellamy, Hans Schuner etc to debate that the science is plain wrong and manipulated, however both the Met Hadley centre and the CRU both declined to attend, one stating it was too far to travel and the other that it was outside of their contractual obligations. My intentions was to scientifically examine the facts/presumptions, ie the composition of the atmosphere, how molecules hold heat, heat transference, data sets, climate models etc and allow both side to cross question each other and let the audience be the jury. As they refuse to allow themselves to be examined, It is difficult to know how to proceed- suspect if the money could be raised a “class action may be appropriate?”.

                      • well...

One could say that pollution is NOT a necessity, it is NOT a requirement, it is NOT inevitable.

Neither is the continued use of coal and oil when better alternatives exist.

I really get a bit upset at those who want us to just throw in the towel and "go with the flow".

NOTHING IS "WRITTEN".. IT IS UP TO US TO CREATE OUR FUTURE.

                        Get that folks???

Or we can just go back to watching all the doom-and-gloom disaster shows on the "History Channel".... so we can discount it all as "fated"... "nothing to be done about it anyway".... "no reason to even bother trying then."

Because THAT is what they are hoping you will say... and why those shows, and all the similar disinfo schemes on the internet, are repeated ad nausim.

And i wonder, in the end, if we really don't DESERVE any better unless we get off our asses and demand better.

                          The Morality of Climate Change

One has to know all the facts to determine the morality of an issue. "In 1900 the average person lived to 35, I am experiencing something in human life that one hundred years ago the average person could not. This experience of human life that has been granted to us by energy technology is tremendous and wonderful, therefore the moral issue here is that we should provide for people who do not have energy so that they can experience life that is safer and longer. That is the Moral Issue." - Dr John Christy

Hi All - as they say, you couldn't make this up!

The University of East Anglia has defended the choice of Lord Oxburgh to head its enquiry into Climategate.

On Tuesday we revealed Oxburgh's leading role in a global warming campaign network called Globe International. Funded by the UN and the World Bank, Globe is a network for legislators. Oxburgh had disclosed a slew of other eco interests - but not Globe. He's a director of the organisation, which flies sympathetic lawmakers around the world, and has close ties with the anti-industrial lobby group, the Club of Rome.
