Self Generated Wind Generator

Hi folks, this may be a new idea to some, I noticed it awhile back on a site and also noticed someone made a post of a car plastered with wind generators to help extend range of electric car. So What do you folks think of this, a motor rotating propellers attached to generators, as far as i can see if we had blades that were 50/50 geometry wise we would get equal air being pushed away and when generators are loaded through commutator, blades would slow, but I some how doubt it's the equivalent of lentz effect in normal generators. so maybe we could get high efficiency by it not reflecting back to motor like a normal motor/generator interface. Any comments on this idea, i have yet to try it myself although I have for some time wondered If this would work well.

Capturing wind energy is facinating. There is a company that sells a Delco style alternator for under $300.00 many folks are develping applications from this for powering thru batteries and inverters many good things...
