Energetictube.com is beginning its mass video download campaign!
Our special offer of entire video database to all members!
Your nominations for author based sub-categorical listings are needed.
This is an exciting moment for us to announce, that Energetictube.com will be redeveloping its database of video content, over a period of the next 2 months, to allow for a near complete copilation of categorical video content to be downloaded to our server. What this means is that we will be quering the Youtube server for a complete transfer of all of the most technologically important video that is currently only stored online at YouTube.
We feel that it is important to have redundancy in the system. YouTube has been providing an excellent service, however we have seen instances of banning and elimination of content in the past. As part of a community who feels it is important to preserve ALL technological video that is submitted online to YouTube, we are now taking steps to ensure that this does not take place in the future.
Our plan is to target the most important content related to new and renewable energy science first. This will involve working in a keyword query system to find video content which will then be processed into our database as part of our categorical system. This is where we need your nominations. Under each of the existing categories we would like to list sub categories by authors name.
We can think of a few to get the ball rolling. Nikola Tesla, E.V. Grey, John Bedini, Peter lindeman,... Even by alias is fine, Imhotep, Aaron, Jetijs, Ashtweth, bodkins, gotoluc, there are many many more names that need to be mentioned in this list of sub-categories. However if your interested in having your work preserved, please respond to dklyne@gmail.com and we will create a category for you and copy all your video content to our server. All we will need is your EXACT username alias at youtube and we will search out your video and add it in your own sub-category at our site for you.
Don't be moddest, not only CAN you nominate yourself, but we are COUNTING on it. If you have specifics with regard to your listing name, should it be different than the one on YouTube, please request your preference for listing on our site.
In return for your assistance in this endeavor, we are going to make available to all of our members a quarterly updated download of all of our stored video content! (This will be huge) Our expectations are that we will in very short order be offering a multi-part package of video content that will exceed 200 gbs in size. (remember that we are dealing with flv files of relatively high compression). This means literally thousands of videos that you can own your own copy of. A local copy of this kind of material couldn't hurt in the future we believe.
On a side note. Our transfer to a new server (Windy) is complete as we have worked out all of our major bugs. There are NO more errors in front of our player, and streaming up and down to the new server is faster than ever before. If our bandwidth is not sufficient, we are prepared to make additional upgrades to serve our members.
