The only thing that's different is the dual coils. These are probably included because the motor is switched twice during one revolution. The second coil is apparently easier than reversing the current through one coil. Two coils also lend themselves to more efficient energy recovery, but I don't see any evidence of that in the patent.

Exactly how is this a Newman machine?

If you are describing the motor that was used for timing and nothing more. That was also the sigle pole version using the other thru the motor timing wheel mags. If you actually read the patent it describes using the method I drew here. The drawing are from an earlier version and not exactly what is in the description. Check this out.

Here is a link, go into original documents and look at pages 16 and 20.
The way I look at it no power would even be going to the output both paths are blocked by diodes.
Could the use of the diodes have something to do with what Beardon talks about in regards to not breaking the symmetry of the source dipole? Could it be that by having all those diodes in there that it prevents this? Just another wild guess as I really don't understand Beardon's stuff that well but it sort of fits if his MEG actually works.

Rick, Thanks for all your work in trying to find out what's really up with the Magnacoaster deal. It has not been a waste of time as I'm sure it has saved some people from jumping in too fast.

Have you been in touch lately with the person who ordered one of these units? I know from other technologies I've been involved in that much simpler devices seem to run into many snags along the way to actually getting them out the door as promised. At this point I don't think he looks very credible but on the other hand it seems he may be onto something or he would not be spending so much time with it (unless it is only about scamming people out of their money).

No real business will make they customers wait for years to have a product, i think he maybe got something but that turned out to be maybe a misinterpretation or miscalculation, or plainly just a scam from start. He got so much attention that now since the cash flow its maybe hard for him to tell the truth. In a way or another, when you claim to have 2600% + overunity and start selling thing that you don't deliver, there only one word to describe that situation, scam.

Maybe his first idea was other thing too YouTube - meditation

I'm describing the motor that was in the patent I read. It is a pulsed cylindrical air coil with a magnet rotating on a shaft inside. You can call it whatever you want, but that motor is a Newman motor.
Another motor sitting right next to it would also rotate if the magnetic fields were lined up correctly, as described in the patent.
I built a motor a few years back which was very similar to what's in the patent. I even used a micro switch with a roller actuator that worked off a cam. I'm very familiar with this type of motor.
            How many have you built?

Actually i think the second diode bridge is off. It should be a mirror to the oposite side connected to the battery in the first part of the circuit. In essence, the extra diodes are BEMF collectors. Remember this is a split bemf system. If the diodes are in the wrong directions I would have to check on it again.

This patent has a motor in the diagrams but only for a self actuated single stationary magnet. The other is rotated on a disk to control the timing portion. Taking the wheel out and substituting a electronic timing circuit you would need to add the other magnet as a permanent pole that does not move. The newest idea works out better and has no moving parts at all. How is that a motor?
To me the definition of a motor is that it provides movement for which the simplist idea of this setup is two magnets clamped onto a steel bar with a non moving coil. Although the motor idea does make the timing and easier to facilitate it is not necassary at all for this concept to work. This is simply a huge BEMF generator using a diaphram of magnetic field to make the north and south cross over the coil at an enhanced speed and force allowing it to generate more deeply the bemf. The only movement at all from what I see is the fields cutting the wires in the coil.
How fast do you think we could modulate the frequency of the pulses? Many Gigahertz? I doubt you could get that fast and produce any real power but set one of these to resonate with the magnets and I bet you could get a ton out of it...

Really? How about a link to that. I ran searches for the patent he claims to have filed and came up empty handed. The patent application talked about a few posts back is definitely not by Richard Willis. Where did you see it?

                  • The patent app I referenced US20040100099 was to Peter T Eaton and Christopher T Johnson and appeared as a citation in the Richard Willis patent WO 2009065219.

I see. Okay, I have located it and the link to the International patent application. For anyone interested, here it is:

                      WO 2009/065219

And here's the only drawing included:

I really don't see anything novel in his approach, does anyone?

                      • There are 5 pages of drawings in WO 2009065219. Fig. 6 shows a circuit similar to Fig. 1 with a wheel with magnets on it.

I found it somewhere today - European I believe - attached is page one so you can see the patent number and some other details. I also copied all the text if you need that or can't find the rest as well as some block and schematic diagrams. Here's the page 1:

                          • I think they have changed that circuit since that diagram came out. He mentions having a lot of large caps in the circuit and from what I could see in pics there would appear to be a bit more to the circuit now than what the diagram shows I think. BTW here is the patent server where I found it :Here - a different one but I believe it's the same exact patent.

This person actually went to see Richard Willis around the last week of March, 2009, and ordered a unit, which Willis promised would be ready soon. Every time he checked back with Willis there was another excuse, and a promise that "it will be ready within the next two weeks or so." Last I heard was in October, and Willis still hadn't come through. I'll send a message off to see if I can determine what the latest is on this episode, but I don't expect to hear anything positive.

The guy is probably not on the up and up. He is a scammer and to tell you the truth this looks a lot like koneheads work with out the splatter coils to collect the north on north or south on south splatter that konehead was working on.
Weather or not he is a scammer could we please focus on the method of generation that he is saying he is doing. Figuring out weather or not the man is a scammer is very hard work. Even harder then proving his method is in error. Lets focus on the method and see for ourselves. If we prove his technology is not legit then there is proof positive that it is a scam. You can talk to anyone who says they bought something but what if they are not telling the truth.
Lets just look at what he is doing build it and see for ourselves if it is real or not. I am almost finished with my build. just waiting for some neo's to arrive and a better steel laminent conduit to test with.
