The manger scene shown today in the middle of winter has nothing to do with Jesus. Shepherds watching their flocks by night puts the time in the warm season of the year. Again nothing to do with Jesus.

Then if that is not enough according to the text Mary and Joesph were on the run because they were protecting the young child, so the King got all P.O.'ed after about 2 years and sent the wise men out to lay a trap to catch this promised seed. Giving gifts to find the place where the seed was living.

Today in modern worship the time of Jesus birth has nothing to do with the Bible text and it doesn't matter if people believe the story or not, at least if they had half a brain and could read the text they would know that Xmas celebrated today has nothing to do with Jesus.

Besides if DEC 25 was Jesus birthday why does everyone else besides Jesus get gifts? It has nothing to do with rational thinking, in fact the so called Christians don't know what gOd they serve.

But at least once a year, they often reluctantly come together, smiling and saying nice things. The rest of the year is another subject when the phony bologna falls off.

That is why the missile with the baby Jesus in it, being shot at their enemies is far more honest than the twisted up mess the chUrches promote, they call love.

Now some will say "Where is your Love Mikey"??? WHERE? MIKEY?

I am showing you love by telling you the truth. IN HIM IS NO LIE, or didn't the people read the TEXT?

Now you have the preacher who will never go along with a lie and like we find in Jer 10 XMAS is a lie and pagan having nothing to do with Jesus.

I am sure many of you hearing this will be outraged and turn your hate toward me because you don't understand. Don't forget LOVE LOVE LOVE and watch that hate for rational thinking boys and girls.

Love is seeing a need where folks are lost and in a tail spin not knowing where they are and what is going on, then showing the right thought, even if I am degraded in doing so.

Yes, "may God bless you" and part of that blessing is to share the things each of us has learned from the debts.

Cyril of Jerusalem (348-386) had access to the original Roman birth census, which also documented that Jesus was born on the 25th of December. The date eventually became the officially recognized date for Christmas in part because it coincided with the pagan festivals celebrating Saturnalia and the winter solstice.

When was Yeshua born?

A friend more knowledgeable than I says this is the right time of year but it was on the Jewish calendar, not the Julian calendar. (That should be obvious, I would think.) Therefore, since their calendar is based on the lunar cycle, the appropriate "date" would vary when expressed on the Julian calendar, much like Easter does. Therefore, there is no way for us to set the date as December 25. It is also, in my opinion, clear that the whole season has been "paganized". If you choose to celebrate, you should feel free to explain it to your own satisfaction. Celebrate friends and "good cheer" in your own way, if that is your choice. It was a pleasant thought for me to hear there is a reasonable explanation and decent evidence that Jesus Christ was actually born around December and not September. Explain that? I can't do ALL your thinking for you! Good luck with your preconceived notions, prejudices and biases. You will probably need it.

Your picture reminded me of a story about some sheep that got lost in a blizzard in Utah. It seems the branches of the trees were weighted down by ice and snow and the sheep huddled close to the base of the trees seeking shelter, and froze to death there. Later, when the ice and snow melted, the branches lifted back up to where they had been, taking the sheep with them. When the rancher went looking for the sheep after the thaw, he found them...up in the trees. My grandfather used to tell that story. Whether it is fact or fiction, I don't really know, but it's a good story

I Heard they Had Santa in the smoke filled room in France [Global warming conference ]

While they applaud his use of Reindeer and would like to see much more of this , they take issue with his use of Coal for the "bad" children ??
Aside from his carbon crimes he is also on the carpet for his "good or bad" theme song
Apparently there will no longer be good or bad children ....

I think his next appointment is with the gender folks......

Next year I think Santa will just hum his theme song ,.(compromise for now)

Sorry, a bit late...
Then, if this is about remembering Jesus's birth, then we are all late (or early) since it is obvious in the Bible that Jesus was not born in the winter (the shepherd were out in the fields). More likely than not, the Vatican has moved this celebration as far as possible from the actual date, which would then be 25 June.
