i went from top to bottom with my pot, sometimes the S'O would stop at a certain point, i found (by accident ) that iuf i removed the positive lead from thr battery...and tapped it onto the negative terminal of the battery......then recoinnected to positive of the battery.....SO would start again....also.......if i brought a magnet close to....and then allowed it to actually touch the core ( magnetite ) then SO would stop.... im confused now!!!!!

i was using this 555 circuit to drive an ignition coil...

Ignition coil driver by IC 555 + 2N3055 | Circuit Project Electronic

got a spark gap of about 4mm....all going nicely......adjusting one of the pots...all of a sudden....a massive spark discharge between the positive terminal of the coil.....to the HV of the coil.......distance almost 20mm !......fried my 555.

The discharge was very strong & loud.,not a snap....a crackling...purplish in colour.

ironically the 2n3055 seems fine now that ive added a new 555.

i should mention i was using a simple croc-clip lead from the HV from the coil to the spark gap.

ive been pondering....

think back, to when you were a kid, a lil kid, just at the age when your smart enough to figure out that..if i flip this switch here....the light comes on......if i then flip it the other way.....the light goes off......this is FUN !!!......on.....off...on off.faster & faster......on off..onn off.....till your mom or dad comes in and says "STOP THAT !!........you'll FUSE IT !!! "

and sure enough......if you continue to do it....thats what happens....the bulb fuses .....and no more fun......but wait a minute....

all you were doing was turning it on......and off.......the things that the bulb and the grid....were designed to have done to it........to turn it on....and to turn it off......yet.....if you speed up that sequence......it fuses....why? ( are the last few sentences starting to sound a lot like what Tesla was doing ????...on off...on off..faster and faster....shorter & shorter gap between on & off....and ......eventually...even doing it mechanically by hand.....eventually....youll "catch one".....and it blows the bulb?.... disruptive dishcrage? )

a lil help needed

Hello all,

Ive got my 555 ignition coil driver working, but i keep blowing the 555 chip,

any way i can stop this??

555 timer... LOL

we've all blown 555's; they can't handle the HV coming back off the ignition coil neg. Also, the purple you were seeing sounds like a disruptive radiant discharge, and integrated circuits like your average 555 can't handle that either..

try hiding your 555 behind a fast switching diode, or, what i ended up doing is wiring up a relay to self oscillate: it starts on, which switches it off, etc.

i started experimenting with high speed mechanical switching using 20 000 rpm motors, tiny neo magnets on a wheel (rpm geared up - cogs don't work too good; go with rubber bands on different diameter wheels) - attach the neo magnets to the face of the (wooden) wheel by drilling holes to fit, otherwise they fly off the rim pretty damn fast-

and have them triggering a reed switch

i say this because i found that the discharge from a hard mechanical switch caused a neon bulb to flash purple, whereas a transistor's switch (for reasons discussed earlier in this thread) only lit the neon normally: yellow/orange..

i would like to get back into the mechanical switch thing, as i want to work on a tesla switch type idea - but i'm trying to see the water turbine thru a bit longer.

I guess that's the problem with investors. On one hand, lots of money for toys; on the other hand, they tend to want tangible results that they can make their money back on.

Then they file a patent; then some people visit and start making threats, and the world remains ignorant of your discoveries.

I prefer freedom on a shoe-string..

Friends, I am still here. Been a bit busy with getting that damn ferry off the factory floor and some other relaxing activities like building my 4 cub meter aquarium at home.

In between I do actually get to the lab now and then - and from now on I am almost full time back in tha lab - the almost because I intend to move it all to my home on the farm.

Now, regarding the latest; back to where I stopped - and the 555 story. The main event is NOT INSIDE the circuit but it happens OUTSIDE the circuit. That is why even 15k fast diodes does not stop the flow of electrons as I have done in the lab here. And that is why on my old 6,000 v Chinese coils I do get a 22 mm spark; and that is the reason for the 'strange' effects in the above video as shown by morpher44.

The effect of different lights lit up depending on the frequency COULD also be due to the effect of energy outside the circuit.

Besides the anchor flow within the circuit, there is a complete other force also in operation, which is not limited by the circuit; it is outside. What exactly I can not define, but I think it is more than just electrons.

I am working up a new set of experiments to use: Electric pulses set at controlled resonance of the target object. Still have problems to get hig frequencies with electric puses.

As for 555 - my sculpure are getting spoiled by too many. 2222 does seems to get programmed/conditioned, and this is still baffeling me.

Part of my research went in a unexpected direction as I did describe here on earlier posts. I found a good source for Thorium and Liquid Lithium - and an investor to take the bills. So all the work I am doing in relation to energy from nuclear decay is now limited - I can unfortunately not share that info in PD anymore. However, rest assure that this investor is not USA and he is very keen on getting the alternative energy out into the world - and such is our agreement also. When all is done, completed and the fat lady sings, that will be released and not go to hidden safe somewhere. That part of the options is going VERY well and good success has been achieved. Though not commercial viable as yet.

Inq - there will be no patents, rather we intend on making it so economical that it will not be worthwhile for others to copy. Besides the raw material and exact mix of core will not be shared; thus the only possible protection is kind of 'secret recipe'. The MIB et all will not be able to shut this project off, none of the people involved are located nor citizens of the Big 7. I am also sendings copies of all my videos and notes to three locations/people in different regions of the world. Should something happen with me or my investors, all will be dumped immediately on the internet at various sites.

anyways, ive progressed a little since then, and since you mentioned 555's and HV you might want to have a quick skim through my "Tesla Attempt" thread where theres a 555 ignition coil driver circuit that is isoltaed from the HV, works nicely ( and is still working i might add ), i had some help building that circuit.

so, onwards & upwards....

Good to see, that you are ok and still with one Eye with us.
I only did wonder, where you are, you had allways something to share, but suddenly you been very quiet.

Good to hear, that even one found a Needle in a haystack, to make some Gold.
And further i hope, we can hear from that Device soon, it takes mostly a long Time,
till new Inventions come around, when its not a Gas-eating Giant, where they can put a Meter on it.
Jim Boswells Wind-Generator is not well-known too, seems it takes forever
that some things goes public, and so far, we still have to beat around with all that Naysayers.
And well, yes, its summer time, a lot work by me too, and need to do other Things, as to having Fun.

I just remember the Themes we had, what current is, but its still unsolved anyhow.
And me just wonder, why a dead Pole like Carbon or Coal makes a Potential, like,
current is released at the Enviroment, and gotten back from it, when you charge something.
Like Water has Ratio from 2000:1, when its in the Air.
