quick torch query

I did a search for torch and gas production but instead of reading 987 entries I thought I would ask a simple question.
Can I run a water torch ( hho ) from my cars battery? How many lpm are needed to run it and assuming 12 volts how many amps? Or is this one of them things that works on lab benches far better than out behind a locked gate on a forest service road that was open when you went through.

it all depends on what you are going to do with the torch. There are microtorches small enough to use around a half a liter per minute. But that little gas wouldn't be cutting through steel. A large torch would probably be impractical because you could end up killing your battery if you run it for too long without the motor running.

I generally do not vandalize property so it was an example of what I might use it for. Just how big is a microtorch? Would I be able to sign my initials on a rock wall?
