I guess I would just say that I feel confident that if we the people let him know that is a priority to us, he would pay more attention to it.

Obama always said he would go after the source of terrorism in Afghanistan. Now you can believe that 911 was done by NWO, I understand that argument.
And I think the ideal is not to have war period. But I'm just as willing to believe the possibility that there are terrorists out there, all over the world. Allowing them to terrorize others is not supporting peace. So I guess the solution is to stop them. It's a difficult subject.
But when I've heard Obama speak on it one thing is for sure. He seems very confident about what he is doing. I have been impressed with Democratic foreign policy in recent years. (Clinton actually prevented a lot of major terrorism.) So for my money, I trust him. I think he will use things like economic sanctions when appropriate and use force when appropriate as well. He seemed to be tearing up when describing what is is like to sign the letters that go to the families of fallen soldiers and I think he is doing what is best to keep everyone safe and get our soldiers home for good.

These have worked before, it's good to note. I talked to someone recently who filmed lots of places here in PA that had made use of Jimmy Carter's incentives, which were apparently pretty open as far as execution. He also said the banks that were making the loans then installed solar panels on their branches and some are still there. (He also mentioned that the solar panels that were on the White House when Carter was in office are still in use elsewhere, although there not too efficient, lol.)
(I personally am awaiting a compilation being done by a local non-profit of the new list of loans and grants coming from the new stimulus bill.)

I believe the democratic strategy is best in this regard and I trust he is doing whatever he can in this terrible situation to help people now and to get us out of the mess we are in.
Granted the high school I attended had some teachers of certain biases, I found it persuasive when we did a text book exercise proving that the trickle down theory does not work. We used actual population statistics. I wish I could remember how we did it specifically but to summarize it showed that the average rich person would have to buy like 500 cars for example for it to work.
I do have one caveat to my analysis of the democratic strategy being the best one when it comes to society and finances.
(I think that both parties are still around so long bc they both have wisdom. The gun issue you mentioned is one example. I don't support guns bc I'm not good with one and at first they seem violent. But when you look at it like you mention, that it's important for citizens to be able to have guns, I can respect their right to.)
I think it's possible that the "Republican wisdom" when it comes to finances has to do with the law of attraction. That is why their tendency might be away from funding social problems. Because in The Secret it says not to even invest your thoughts on bad things like social problems.
Imo there are times to apply that, and times to take action. I think Obama is taking all the action needed and I also think he is open minded . .so we will see how things go.
