    Test rig operational

    Hi folks,

I have completed my test rig, and have been doing many experiments, some as early as the last week in April, when the rig was not fully completed. You can read all about my test apparatus in the Rick's Pipe Dream thread, which gives full instructions on how to duplicate it. The thread starts here: http://www.energeticforum.com/53508-post1.html

You can read about all of the magnet experiments that I have done so far at this post: http://www.energeticforum.com/54097-post43.html
And yes, I was able to achieve excellent continuous rotation using a hand held moving stator technique.

My next step will be to utilize the tracking system, which I spoke about earlier in this thread, to control movement of a mounted stator magnet. I have every confidence that I will succeed at that endeavor, as only about 1" of easy movement is required. And that is despite the fact that I am using all neo magnets in my build. Definitely moving forward with very good results, so stay tuned for updates.

    Best regards,

    Rick

Rickoff, I think the moving stator magnet design will work, as I too have tried the same thing on my setup. Although mine is vastly different from yours, I don't think that the rotor configuration is as important as the stator magnet alignment. Today I found out that I could accomplish the same thing with two seperated stator magnets without making them movable. I haven't permanently afixed them to my rotor yet, but preliminary tests look promising. It may work either way. While one stator magnet is pulling incoming rotor magnets the other is reinforcing the first. The seperation distance was 150% the distance of rotor magnet spacing. Just another probable way to make it self running. Good Luck. Stealth
