      Mart,

This is excellent. There's a distributor here in Spokane. I'm going to call them tomorrow morning to get some pricing.

      Thanks for posting this.

                Bumping this thread..

Ok, now that I am in Florida I have managed to drop my energy cost greatly by moving everything into one room, and heating and cooling this room only.

My next thought is to insulate this room to even drop the cost of cooling/ heating down more.

The problem I see with putting p2000 in with what I have is the drywall is already up, and I don't really want to take what I have up down so... here are some thoughts I have.

Put the P2000 over the drywall in this one room and over all existing doors and on the floor ceiling.

                Problems I see..

                1. Electrical outlets will now be in about 1 inch from the foam
                2. On the floor, it will be 1 inch higher than the rest of the room. I guess the best option is to install it underneath the floor joists.

Another option I considered is to simply buy one of the portable shelters with the p2000 and assemble it in a room :-)

I do wish to super insulate 1 room and let the rest of the house just float with the outside temps except for when it drops below 32 degrees then I will engage the heat of house. to keep it neat 45 degrees.

                  Shelter..

Here is the link to the shelter that looks interesting as it uses p2000 insulation.

                        insulation

There are paint on insulation - not just radiant reflective ceramics but
                        also have insulation property:

Nansulate Home and Industrial Thermal Insulation and Asset Protection Coatings

                        SUPERTHERM Eagle coatings net

Those do have insulative properties in addition to radiant reflective.

                        HyTech is only radiant reflective.

Also - found that in Malaysia or Singapore, there are panels up to
R100~R150 made from Rockwool and the American Rockwool company
bought them. They probably cost a fortune - I couldn't find a price.

If that stuff is even remotely affordable, it is a serious game changer.
R60 walls and R100 attic should be the minimum standard for every new
                        home.
