  • Recommendations?

    Hi All,
I have been looking at "PC O-scopes" usally run through the sound card or a USB.
I like one but it only goes from DC to 100 Khz. I am not sure that is enough band width.

I am also interested in a multimeter with a connection to the computer..better for logging etc.

What do you think? Any recommendations?

I would recommend something that uses USB or PCMCIA slot and a separate input device so it has much less chance of killing yer puter's Motherboard should something go wrong (which happens very easily with the sound card ones).

Also, that is too low a frequency response for most applications we see here, and if that "100k" figure is the "sample rate", then the actual F Response is even worse (and if it is "2 channel", then that number has to be split in half again when using both).

Something like this has an F response of 60 MHz, can sample up to 1G, with a "30VDC" Range.. with a standard "x10" probe that's "300V". It has "1 Megaohm" Input Impedance.

I am unfamiliar with the model but $300 is a nice price for these features.
