Hi guy's just wondering if anyone noticed this plan of General motors for a Segway car

Personally I found this funny as only a week ago I watch a program on TV here in the UK called "Who killed the electric car" in which GM developed an electric car called EV1 well this thing looked great had great acceleration like a normal car, could do up to 90MPH and could travel nearly 160 miles before needing a recharge and this was back in the 90s just think how far battery technology has come since then. Anyway the car was a feasabillity study which started to catch on with the general public when all the cars were recalled and subsequently shredded despite the efforts of dedicated fans to save it. I highly recommend the documentary which you can find on YouTube

It demonstrates just why we'll never be given this technology, and frankly why the Segway Car is not a serious commercial product.

Thanks for the link I managed to miss it so will catch up tonight. My Dad used to work for the electricity board, and back in the late 70s he tested 2 electric cars over a 2 week period, from home. Both cars didn't have great styleing, but were fine for town/city use to do shopping. I think they only did about 45 mph. It was funny to see people walking on the pavement jump, as a silent car passed them!

Big Oil killed the electric car...

The same dudes that tore up the trolly tracks. Defeated the light rails. Killed the electric cars. Yes big oil from the Rockafella family which owend the greatest % of the gross national product.
The same people that love tanks and war machines. Yes they hate the electric car. It represents a theat to thier golden dream. The almighty dollar which they worship.
Above all things they support wars. They love hate and destroying all things efficeint.
They hate us and will kill anything that does not waste oil. Or profits from oil waste.

I find it strange that everyone wants to say batterys are a major problem with electric cars, not to many people consider the impact wireless power will have on the world. Just imagine not needing to charge the battery at all. Sure it may be a long way off, but at least its starting to be accepted and used by a few companies for phone chargers and lights and such.
