    2stage with trigger wires

    Hi Seph,

In your schematic you only have one diode protecting the base of both transistors.

Why not have a diode protecting each transistor base?

    Just curious.....

I am really enjoying working with your ideas on my SSGs.....

hmmm... I think you might be right... It's been a while since I wrote that and now I see the diode should really be going directly to the base and not between the pot and the base resistor... and really there should be one diode for each transistor, not to protect the transistors but so that there is equal resistance when current is flowing in either direction of the trigger winding... that would probably benefit resonance. I never noticed any problem with it set up with just one diode so not sure how important it is...
