if you run a 3 phase motor on single phase it inducts into the other two phases this can then be wired into a 2nd three phase moter which will self start and run
but the voltages are not very good and if 240v supply is what you have and need 415 you need a transformer
so i was thinking
use a 3 phase moter to drive a 3 phase generator
question if running a 3 phase moter on one phase does it produce one third of its rated power or less ???
or more than a third as there is proportionally a bigger heat sink as you are only powering one phase????
Moter to be used 60kw delta 415v or star210v
power supply 240v 100A
generator 415v 3phase brushless 55kva
any one with expertise know the answers???
