  • Double smack booster q's

I've built my first smack. Yet I wanna build another to run em both in my vehicle.

Could I just put both smacks into the same container and wire them up together? Positive to positive, negative to negative. I would prefer they both be in the same container if it's possible. Yet I don't know if they will draw each 20 amps for a total of 40 amps into the cell? Or will it still be the same 20 amps? I've seen pics of others that had double smacks, but they were each in their own container and each booster was drawing 20 amps. That's why I am asking.

If they are together will they draw the same current of 20 amps or will it need to draw 40 amps to produce the same LPM as if each cell were individual?

Its for simplicity sake. I wanna run a higher LPM for my 8-cylinder, yet want the simplicity of only filling one container instead of two.
    Thanks

    bump

I'm really only curious bout the amp draw. I don't have an amp meter so I don't know if it'll draw more current or not. I suppose I could just use the 30a wire and test connect the two and see if the water gets hot quick? OR??? Or does the amperage not make the heat? Geeze I wish I could see this one with my tird eye. I suppose I'll just have to tinker.

The configuration you mention is parallel configuration. In your open bath configuration, parallel is the easier method. But the problem of parallel configuration is a lot of heat at high ampere. Heat is the reason why many people opt for series configuration. But series configuration need a series of water isolated cell.

My 1 amp parallel cell can make the water boil in an hour. I guess yours must be quicker than this for 10Amp requirement.

Ahhh. Ok. So it'll get too hot. I've got the room for two seperate smacks, so I'll just prolly try that for now.

        Thanks for the help.
