  • An experiment for anyone who reads this

    You'll need two things;

    1) Salt - easily obtainable, and not necessarily NaCl, possibly even a metal salt such as those found in chemistry experiment kits for kids

    2) an epoxy glue that has a separate hardening agent

Method: mix the salt into the glue and separately into the hardener. Do not mix the glue with the hardener.

Aim; does the salt dissolve into either the glue or the hardener? If it does, the glue or hardener will become more conductive to electricity. Check this with the milliamp setting on your meter.

Come back here and post the type of salt used and where it was obtained. Also post the brand and if possible chemical structure of the epoxy - IF the conductivity increased, and where it was obtained. The chemical structure will be available online in the 'mdms' sheet for the product.

This article will show why this information will be important, regarding dissolved salts and their ions.

Why Salt in Water Can Conduct Electricity | eHow.com

and the springerlink article link posted by vortex above will explain more.

Basically, we should be able to make Electret batteries that harness the zero point energy field, aka the aether and connect them in series and parallel to increase the voltage and current.

To make them, we should need no more than the glue, the salt, and a lab power supply or wall plug transformer.

If ten of the 50+ ppl who watch the Electret videos I post can do this test, it'll save me 6 months of faffing about on my own, but I do understand people have their own projects and busy lives, so no worries if you can't help.

    Love and light all.

      • Not just salts

Just has to be an electrolyte, ie salt, acid, base, that separates into constituent ions when in solution.

That would be why your wax Electret worked, and mine and Dmonarch's didn't...
I'd forgotten that you'd added salt, it makes a lot of sense now

Gives me hope for the epoxy based Electret..

I added salt separately to both the epoxy and the hardener, and left it overnight to dissolve or settle. If the mix is saturated like this, the current reaches 26uA at 50v. However I added too much hardener.

I tried again later with salt added to hardener only, and not left overnight. I added only a little (5-10%) hardener this time but the current never got above 0.6uA at 70v.

It'll be tricky to find the right method and ratio, but when I find the right one, I'll keep everyone posted.

                • I recall that glass is conducting when in liquid, is there a wax that conduct easily when in liquid form and do not conduct in solid form?

Would wax source make any difference? from fossil, from plant, from animal, artificial?

I have no idea what waxes conduct when liquid. Experiments will show which ones do though

It is my current understanding that any substance which slowly solidifies (epoxy glue, hard waxes, few plastics) serve to help keep the positive and negative ions of the electrolyte (white rosin, salt) separated by the current.

If the current is too high, the bridge of ions assisting electron flow will be too fluid.

Once the Electret hardens, the ions maintain the same condition found in the dielectric of a charged capacitor.

If the Electret is made with enough care and the plates do not come loose in storage (contact with metal plates must be secure) while also being shorted out, the Electret will develop the opposite charge.

                    A la free energy.

                    • Ok. Are there any record of electrolite that can be used other than salt? can the salt be melted? How about NaOH or KOH?

Look up my friend post 108 has some links, of course in theory the more ions the better, but I've only had around 20 failures..

Also, a molecule like lucite plastic must have atoms at one end that give up electrons, and atoms at the other that want electrons - when in a molten state.

The molecules must line up like little magnets while the current is running thru, and as the lucite plastic sets they must get stuck in alignment.

                        happy experimenting!

Ps, wax can be re melted and reset; epoxy glue doesn't, and it's expensive

YouTube - c30kv magnetic diode proof of concept

it seems possible to make a diode using a spark gap and magnets. In the video I have neo and ferrite magnets, but it does work with only ferrite ones.

Well for starters I can currently make 60kv with two ignition coils out of phase (one -30kv, one +30kv) - and now I'll be able to make that DC.

That's one hell of an electret
