Have you looked into an adjustable voltage regulator?

Would that help with the voltage matching?

I look forward to seeing info on the results of the alternator output under load and info on the super caps in the input circuit.......

VMG update One Battery setup

Here is the latest info on the VMG this may seem a little whacked but I'm telling you it works great, as soon as I can get a larger step down transformer it will be even better. I let the motor run for a few hours and hardly any draw and the battery came right back up. The caps are not conditioned yet, more info when I can run some real test
