Hi sucahyo, What I meant as normal charger in my case was a peak detection type charger that just cut out at a certain point, although a trickle wall wart type charger worked fine, but still the battery needed more condition cycles to bring it up to full capacity. I set that battery aside for the moment, however I did get it up around 60% capacity at the C/20 discharge rate, which considering it originally wouldn't even power an led, is pretty good.

Good job on revitalizing the battery. I currently revitalizing some Sanyo NiMH that can only power digital camera in seconds even after 12 hours of charging using unnamed charger. Can take more picture on first radiant charge. And now radiant charging it in series with HHO cell in two hour can power dc motor at 1.5 amp for two minutes without dropping power.
I would avoid normal charger. Many say it would ruin the conditioning. Many report some double battery capacity if using only radiant charger.Last edited by sucahyo; 10-02-2009, 08:51 AM.

Hi sucahyo, thanks for words. Glad to see as well your having success in rejuvenating batteries. Definitely yes, If I wasn't clear about it, I will not be using store bought heat death chargers where ever possible. However in automobiles I'm not sure that is practical, but in most other cases it would be. Right now I'm trying to rejuvenate my fathers auto starter battery, its a 510 cold cranking amps battery with 92 reserve capacity so about 30Ah's. In this case I'm just using the flyback with diode off an aircore coil pulsed with 555 timer, it works just about the same as the Joule Thief setup. It's definitely having an effect, although this battery is 7 years old and may be too damaged inside to bring back fully, time will tell.

Ok. It would be interesting to see the result of converting the electricity that goes from alternator to battery to radiant one. I guess common ground make it hard.
At what frequency you run the 555 based charger?
I also want to know if your circuit can make constantly moving neon bulb light. Mine keep going up and down at certain frequency, just hear the sound from this video.

Hi sucahyo, the 555 charger circuit is running between 500Hz-2Khz because I have a pot in off time resistor position to adjust input that way. I don't have any neon's on hand to see that nor have I done any experiments with neon's. The rejuvenation was working with my father's 12v starter battery but unfortunately it had a shorted cell so it could not be saved. Though the impedance was lowering and was able to be put on a normal charger, just was cutting in and out cause the shorted cell. hope that helps.

I ask about moving neon light because I never see anyone else experience it or able to replicate it or able to explain it. I would be very relieve if anyone else can replicate it since it would means that this secondary effect can be learned. The neon is put at one wire secondary HV part. Two neon put in series would not light at the same rate.
