Thanks for bringing this up,I have read it before but could not find it again, the sulfuric acid, sulfur is no.16 in the periodic table, remember Ed Ledskalnin's sweet 16.
The sulfur content of the coral Ed used is high in the Florida region.

Yea I try not to install anymore apps than I have to, seems everyone has an agenda, ads or whatever.
They slow the computer down eventually, even the spyware blockers will ad spyware to your computor after the trial version is over and you dont buy their product.

Yes Google Chrome is a Browser Like Internet Explorer But its much faster and better than IE
          I don't use anything else

          • No Way on Google

There is no way I would install Google on my computer. They sell all the info they collect from your searches so that you can get even more junk. Read their privacy policy. I had to have an online email account for something I was doing and as soon as I signed up for gmail I started getting all kinds of other junk coming into my regular email. I don't like IE either and Firefox uses some of the same programming that IE uses. I only use Opera as my web browser. They have versions for both Windows and Linux which is what I am using now. Opera is also very fast. And they actually respect your privacy.

            Respectfully,
            Carroll

              Thanks Carroll
              I didn't know that

I was watching this though it may help in some way

              • magnetic resonance...

This video may give some inspiration regarding putting a small bit of energy in to get a larger oscillation...
I wonder if that is what the Hendershot toy device is doing...

                • I ended up using the kraft paper instead of the wax paper because it was thicker. I hope 8.18nF and 8.16nF are close enough.

                  • Hey looking good
I haven't even managed to get Copper Enamelled wire or Iron Bar yet

Looks like I may have get Copper Wire on Ebay and Iron Bar from the UK
Funny Magnets seem to be easy to get here
Things like this seem very hard to buy here in Thailand

I found wire can be salvaged from solenoids on car starter's, ignition coils(primary) and other sources, If not high voltage they usually aren't varnished and can be removed without damaging the wire.
Wire in electric motors are usually varnished and get damaged during removal.

                        Hi Drak,
Wow. Interesting that the thicker paper did bring you within 5% tolerance of the goal. Many capacitors off-the-shelf have a 5% tolerance so I think you've hit upon the right paper.

What size wire is it Dave ?
Are we still going for 0.95?

For the fuelless generator (American Gauges):
                            L1 - AWG 28, diameter 0.0136"
                            L2 - AWG 24 - enamelled Formvar copper wire, diameter .0213"
                            L3 & L4 - AWG 20 - thermoplastic single copper core wire, diameter 0.0334"
                            {can use different color plastic to tell the coils apart}

It is not clear whether these gauges matter or not or whether 57 dowels matter. I have a video that shows some math on why 57 dowels might have been selected and it has to do with the "ideal" wire crossing angel.

A radio engineer might want thicker dowels and closer dowels so that the wire crossing angle approaches 90 degrees. This is ideal if you want the "self-capacitance" in the coil to be minimized. Tesla's bifilar spiral coil solves the capacitance problem a different way.
This wire-crossing angel will affect the self-inductance of the coil, but possible may also affect its magnetic properties.
The ideal coil has a very high self inductance because you want its inductive response curve to be linear over a large range of frequencies.

I played around with the math and found a "possible" formula for how Hendershot derived 57 dowels. If this is correct, and if you change wire-gauge or diameter, this formula would allow you to calculate the correct number of dowels (given also the dowel diameter):

Hahahha that just makes it harder for me

The PVC wire is everywhere here so no prob there

The Formvar copper wire I have never even heard of before I will have to do more research eh
If we find we need larger Dowels no prob here either
Lots of Bamboo Chopsticks here Hahahha

Hey I have written a email to the Hendershot People who where selling the idea
To see if they can put me in contact with someone who has the Kit working
No reply yet and I know I probably won't get one either
But I thought it was worth a try

I know their one doesn't work just looking for more info

I see the guys in Russia have more info on their site too and a couple of diagrams
