Not really. Just hung out for awhile on my lunch break. Nice to see people stand up for something.

I will be shocked if the VAT does come to existence in this country. I know there is talk about it, but I think it will be political suicide right now.

Government is not spending our money. THEY ALREADY SPENT IT! They are now just making sure we make enough babies to pay what they are spending now. Theoretically, the U.S should shrink to a developing country in 10 to 15 years. There is no stopping it. Just because we will cling to our nukes doesnt guarantee a thing.

Yes, it really is refreshing to witness this movement, and it feels even better to be a part of it all.

Don't be too shocked when they pass the VAT tax. They have already committed political suicide by passing ObamaCare against the wishes of 60 percent of US citizens, so now they figure they may as well ram through every last item in their warchest - in the same manner - before November rolls around.

Good point, Mozaar. These SOB's have mortgaged our grandchildren's future with their extravagant spending and borrowing. They have put our country so far in the hole that there is no possible way our national debt can be repaid. It appears that they and the Federal Reserve, are hell bent on devaluing our dollar the final 3 percent of it's remaining value.

Peace and love sounds good. Let's practice that all we can, but let's not become complacent and apathetic. Our grandchildren, and their children's children, are counting on us to set things straight.

      Best regards,

          Hi Aaron,

This "trial" will be held May 14-19 at the ATLAH World Missionary Church, in New York City. You can find out more about this here:
Columbia Will Plead Not Guilty With Propaganda | ATLAH Media Network

I had heard about the Obama/CIA connection months ago, but the details were sketchy. Manning appears to have more definitive details in hand, and much of what he says is in fact true, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and /or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and /or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ”.
Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution « One Man’s Thoughts

            Proposed 28th Constitutional Amendment Petition

            The Amendment Process

There are essentially two ways spelled out in the Constitution for how to propose an amendment. One has never been used.

The Constitution, then, spells out four paths for an amendment:

Proposal by convention of states, ratification by state conventions (never used)
Proposal by convention of states, ratification by state legislatures (never used)

Proposal by Congress, ratification by state conventions (used once)
Proposal by Congress, ratification by state legislatures (used all other times)

It is interesting to note that at no point does the President have a role in the formal amendment process (though he would be free to make his opinion known). He cannot veto an amendment proposal, nor a ratification. This point is clear in Article 5, and was reaffirmed by the Supreme Court in Hollingsworth v Virginia (3 US 378 [1798]):
The negative of the President applies only to the ordinary cases of legislation: He has nothing to do with the proposition, or adoption, of amendments to the Constitution.

            • Arizona Scores again!

PHOENIX -- The Arizona House on Wednesday approved a bill that would require President Barack Obama to show his long form birth certificate if he hopes to be on the state's ballot when he runs for re-election in 2012.

The House approved the measure on a 31-29 vote, sending it to the Senate. The bill would require U.S. Presidential candidates, who want to appear on the ballot in Arizona, to submit documentation proving they meet the Constitutional requirements to be president.

Hopefully, more states will pass similar legislation.

Lance Baxter, a GEICO Insurance company employee, phoned Freedom Works - a Tea Party affilliate, and left a hateful voice message, along with a callback phone number. After verifying who the caller was, Freedom Works posted the call on the Internet, and it was soon picked up by Fox News reporters. Upon hearing of this, GEICO management canceled Baxter's contract and fired him.

                • New poll shows distrust of federal government is deepening

On Monday of this week, a polling report released by the non-partisan Pew Research Center said that, ""By almost every conceivable measure, Americans are less positive and more critical of government these days."

The center said its new survey found "a perfect storm of conditions associated with distrust of government - a dismal economy, an unhappy public, bitter partisan-based backlash and epic discontent with Congress and elected officials."

Just 22 percent say they trust the government almost always or most of the time, among the lowest in a half century of polling.

At the same time, a broad swath of Americans, 56 percent, say they are frustrated with the government, the same as a decade ago. But 21 percent say they are angry about the government, double the 10 percent who felt that way in February 2000. And only 19 percent say they are content with the federal government, down sharply from 33 percent in February 2000.

"Frustration with government is nothing new," said Pew. "Growing anger is." It's not just anger. A growing number of Americans fear their government. The poll found that 30 percent of Americans believe the federal government is a "major threat" to their personal freedom, up sharply from 18 percent in a comparable ABC-Washington Post poll in 2003

Note: The above information was found in an article by Steven Thomma, who wrote this for McClatchy Newspapers.

                  • All this Obama hate seems to imply that the next in line would be better. Not a puppet of the elite.
The last president you had who wasn't a puppet, was more of a rock star, and didn't stay alive to finish his first term.
Focusing on the birth certificate is just besides the point. He may show a proper one, and be elected this way.

The US needs to think. They re-elected Bush Jr. after he got into office via a minority vote. How did that work out for you? Don't think republican vs. democrat. Don't be fooled by discussions on taxes higher/lower or abortion/pro-life.
Look at life in America. Is it good. Are you really free (of debt)?

Next president better show a way to get out of 20 trillions of debt, soon. I fear hyperinflation is the already chosen tool. Orchestrated hyperinflation, seeing the US steal monetary power from the rest of the world. Oh, apart from Israel. China, India and Russia are bracing themselves, stocking up on gold reserves for one thing. This may come down to a show-me-yours-I'll-show-you-mine.
10 zero's added to the greenback, but soon replaced by a new world dollar in which the US floats out on top.

                      • Arizona approves legislation to outlaw illegal aliens

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer officially signed S.B.1070 into law yesterday afternoon. The bill is the nation's toughest immigration enforcement bill, making it a crime in Arizona to be in the country illegally and cracking down on the hiring of day laborers and the transportation of illegal aliens.

Criticized by many, the bill is a perfect example of the frustration on the state level of the federal government's refusal to secure the borders and enforce the immigration laws already on the books. Arizona activists had been been calling and faxing the Governor's office all week. The bill gained national attention when it received full approval from the state legislature earlier this week, but the pressure of the Arizona activists neutralized the national effort from the pro-amnesty, open-borders supporters.

President Obama has already criticized the Arizona bill, and the Hispanic House leadership is urging him to block the bill. It doesn't seem likely that he can do that though, as Arizona's new law simply gives state delegated authority to Arizona law enforcement officers to question and detain suspected illegals, and to arrest and deport them. Federal law already calls for illegals to be handled in this manner, but states which call federal authorites to report illegals have found that the federal authorities do not respond, claiming that they are understaffed and over budget. Border states are getting sick and tired of the situation, and Arizona is the first state to address the matter at hand with legislation. I believe that other states will soon follow their lead. I think that what we will also be seeing in Arizona is action by citizens living along the border to make citizen arrests of illegals, and detain them until law enforcement officers arrive on the scene. And that's not only a good thing, but also perfectly within their right to do so now under state law.

                        • Another State considers a Presidential eligibility bill

Another state has begun considering a law like an Arizona plan approved by the state House there that would require presidential candidates to document their eligibility before being allowed on the election ballot.
Georgia Rep. Mark Hatfield, part of a coalition in his state supporting new election requirements, says it's really the responsibility of members of Congress to make sure a foreign-born individual or dual citizen isn't installed in the White House. But he said without the leadership in Washington necessary to do that, it is up to states to tackle the issue. Arizona's plan is closest to adoption, awaiting only approval from the state Senate.

According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, Oklahoma also has pending in a legislative committee a referendum that could be put before voters. The organization says during 2009, various plans to require documentation from presidential candidates were considered in Maine, Oklahoma, Missouri and Montana but were not adopted. Hmmm, Maine, huh? Guess I'll have to hound my state reps and find out why they aren't concerned with Constitutionally mandated eligibility requirements.

Yes, but a 2/3 majority agreement in Congress would be needed to ratify such a treaty. Hillary Clinton has already signed a memorandum of agreement with the UN on this issue, so it does appear to be gaining acceptance and will most likely be slated for a final UN vote by 2012.

A provision in the resolution’s preamble – included at the request of the U.S. – explicitly recognizes the right of nations to regulate gun sales and ownership within their borders, including through their constitutions:
UN General Assembly Resolution A/C.1/64/L.38/Rev.1, Oct. 28: …Acknowledging also the right of States to regulate internal transfers of arms and national ownership, including through national constitutional protections on private ownership, exclusively within their territory…

So, depending on how you interpret this statement, either we would retain our Constitutional right to own and bear arms, or the federal government would have full control over regulation and ownership of firearms. John Bolton, former US ambassador to the UN sees it this way:

Bolton, Nov. 6: The administration is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there’s no doubt – as was the case back over a decade ago – that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control. After the treaty is approved and it comes into force, you will find out that it … requires the Congress to adopt some measure that restricts ownership of firearms. The administration knows it cannot obtain this kind of legislation purely in a domestic context. … They will use an international agreement as an excuse to get domestically what they couldn’t otherwise.
