  • It could be a better world. If we learn to love each other.

Hope... I'm sorry but I don't want to be an Emperor - that's not my business - I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another, human beings are like that.

We all want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone and the earth is rich and can provide for everyone.

The way of life can be free and beautiful.

But we have lost the way.

Greed has poisoned men's souls - has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed.

We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in: machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little: More than machinery we need humanity; More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, cries out for universal brotherhood for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me I say "Do not despair".

The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress: the hate of men will pass and dictators die and the power they took from the people, will return to the people and so long as men die [now] liberty will never perish...

Soldiers - don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you and enslave you - who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you as cattle, as cannon fodder.

Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts. You are not machines. You are not cattle. You are men. You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don't hate - only the unloved hate. Only the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers - don't fight for slavery, fight for liberty.

In the seventeenth chapter of Saint Luke it is written " the kingdom of God is within man " - not one man, nor a group of men - but in all men - in you, the people.

You the people have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness. You the people have the power to make life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy let's use that power - let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give you the future and old age and security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power, but they lie. They do not fulfil their promise, they never will. Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfil that promise. Let us fight to free the world, to do away with national barriers, do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness.

Soldiers - in the name of democracy, let us all unite!

Look up! Look up! The clouds are lifting - the sun is breaking through. We are coming out of the darkness into the light. We are coming into a new world. A kind new world where men will rise above their hate and brutality.

The soul of man has been given wings - and at last he is beginning to fly. He is flying into the rainbow - into the light of hope - into the future, that glorious future that belongs to you, to me and to all of us. Look up. Look up."

A couple of questions come to mind:

      1. Concerning "national barriers," are you advocating for the elimination of all nations and national borders, and calling for a one world government?
      2. In calling for us to "fight to free the world," what exactly are you implying - a fight being a war of words, or armed resistance? And who, specifically, would you ask that we fight against?

For perhaps the best understanding of exactly what occurred, and why the 14th Amendment was not only unconstitutional, but also unratified, I suggest you download a pdf document that comes straight from the 1967 Congressional Record of the US House of Representatives. This information was very carefully researched, and read into the Congressional Record by Representative Rarick of Louisiana. Since Congress never followed up on this with an investigative committee, and never voted on a motion to strike the 14th Amendment, it just goes to show that Congress understands the unconstitutionality of the Amendment, but prefers - even to this day - to uphold the Corporation U.S. view that the Amendment was and is legitimate. Download the document here.

        • I, too

am unclear as to what, exactly Toranorod is saying. On the one hand, all people are about love and peace, and on the other hand we must recognise the evil in the world and fight it, WTF?

So, I DID have the 'essence' right; the 14th amendment is unconstitutional because 10 states refused to ratify, and they were, in effect, 'overruled', and it was 'illegally' ratified, anyway.Jim

              Five cents, of course.

PHOENICIA, TYRE, Silver tetradrachm, S-5918-20 with Phoenician date year 27 (ca 99 BC). Obverse: Head of Melqarth facing right. Reverse: eagle standing left, a club to the left with the Phoenican date year 27 (ca 99 BC) below the arm. This is a bold and attractive, well-centered coin. There is a die break on the cheek which is not visible on the image. Actual size is 30.5 mm. and the weight is 14.25 grams. SHEKELS OF TYRE ARE THE MOST LIKELY CANDIDATES FOR THE 30 PIECES OF SILVER PAID TO JUDAS.

City of Tyre, didrachm (or 1/2 shekel). S-5921 variety. Obverse: bust of Melqart right. Reverse: Eagle standing left, with a monogram of Greek letters to the right and the date mark "PA" (year 101 = 27/6 BC) to the left. 6.4 grams, 19 mm. Note that the style of this issue is very different from the full shekel listed above. This difference is typical for the time periods in which the two coins were struck.
This is the half unit famous Shekel of Tyre that is believe to have been the type of coin used to pay Judas his 30 pieces of silver. This denomination is in it self an important biblical reference type as it the the denomination used in ancient Judaea to pay the temple tax which is also mentioned in the bible.

If I remember correctly, the writeup in the Congressional Record that I linked to earlier stated that there were actually 11 states, and at east 80 representatives from those states, who were shut out from voting on the 14th Amendment. Those states objected, of course, but were told that their votes didn't matter because they had no recognized legal governments or representatives, which of course was baloney. So this is how the Amendment "passed" approval in Congress, though its passage was illegal and unconstitutional. It still had to be ratified by 3/4 of the states, though, and to accomplish this the Union sent "carpetbaggers" and other Union appointed officials into those southern states to establish temporary non-elected new governing bodies that would comply with ratification demands. The southern states never would have agreed to ratification otherwise, and were thus denied fair representation as demanded by the Constitution.

                  • Remember the Pentagon’s purchases of $600 toilet seats and $400 hammers, disclosed several years ago? Now the focus has shifted to $16 muffins and $8 cups of coffee served at a conference for Eric Holder's Justice Department.

Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, is steamed over a Justice Department inspector general audit that found apparently “extravagant and potentially wasteful” expenses at conferences, including $16 muffins and coffee and tea that cost as much as $8 per 8-ounce cup. “The Justice Department appears to be blind to the economic realities our country is facing,” Grassley said in a statement.

This is but one of thousands of examples of wasteful and extravagant spending by Corporation U.S. agencies who don't blink an eye when it comes to spending our "money" and demanding ever more of it.

                    • Recently, Billionaire Warren Buffett stated that Obama is right in calling for those who can afford it to pay more in taxes, and said that he himself was willing to pay more. Strange, then, that Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway corporation is in a protracted battle with the IRS to avoid paying 1 Billion in taxes that accrued over the past decade. Certainly Buffett's words are the ultimate in hypocrisy.

                      • Gibson Guitar Company attacked by DOJ

You may or may not be aware of this, but in mid-August, attorney general Eric Holder's Justice Department (DOJ) raided two Gibson guitar manufacturing plants, forcing hundreds of Gibson employees off their jobs. All because Gibson was using a species of wood imported from India for which the Justice Department determined might be illegal under Indian law - not US law. How insane is that!

Even crazier is the most recent turn of events in this unfolding saga. According to Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz, agents of the United States government are bluntly informing them that they’d be better off shipping their manufacturing labor overseas. In an interview with KMJ AM’s “The Chris Daniel Show,” Juszkiewicz revealed some startling information.
CHRIS DANIEL: "Mr. Juszkiewicz, did an agent of the US government suggest to you that your problems would go away if you used Madagascar labor instead of American labor?"
HENRY JUSZKIEWICZ: "They actually wrote that in a pleading."

Hear a recording of this interview portion here.

At a time when our nation is crying for jobs, and Obama is touting his proposed "jobs bill" as the way to go in putting people to work, why go after Gibson Guitar Company, a great American success story, and boot hundreds of skilled workers off their jobs while costing the Gibson Guitar Company millions in lost revenue and legal battles? And why should DOJ suggest that Gibson Guitar Company should outsource their manufacturing to overseas foreign labor markets? This is totally absurd and insane, but of course it is getting to be standard operating procedure for the Obama administration. Disgusting!

                        • MISHNA c. 'It was the custom for money-changers in those days to carry their tables with them, and hence they were called "the men of the tables." The Mishna relates, that on the fifteenth of the month the money-changers were ordered to go out into the rural districts with their tables, in order to provide the people with the necessary half-shekels; for the tax had to be paid in half-shekels only.
"On the twenty-fifth, when it was high time for payment and the people commenced flocking into the city of Jerusalem, the moneychangers returned and sat in the court of the Temple.

The taking of pledges commenced immediately upon the departure of the money-changers from the rural districts, because, if a man had not paid his half-shekel while the money-changers were still within his reach, it was obvious that he either would not or could not pay it, and in consequence a pledge was taken.

'According to law, the priests were also in duty bound to pay the half-shekels, the collection of which was mainly intended for the purchase of communal sacrifices, and the priests were naturally included in the community. They, however, found a defect in the law, and held themselves exempt. In consequence of their being in authority during the existence of the second Temple, they were not forced to pay or give pledges, for the sake of harmony.

                              What Makes "Honey"?
Cernuschi, the great French economist, said:
"Money is a value created by law. Its basis is legal and not material. It is perhaps not easy to convince one that tinvalue of metallic money is created by law. It is, however, a fact."

Mr. Tiffany, a great constitutional lawyer, said:
'' To coin money and rigulate the value thereof as an act of sovereignty involves the right to determine what shall be taken and received as money. . . . The currency value is in the stamp, when used as money, and not in the material independent of the stamp. In other words, the money quality is the authority which makes it current and gives it power to accomplish the purpose for which it was created."
The supreme court of Iowa said:

"The gold dollar is not a commodity having an intrinsic value, but money having only a statutory value, and every dollar has the same value without regard to the material."

The supreme court of the United States said in the greenback cases:

'' Whatever power is over the currency is vested in congress. If the power to declare what is money is not in congress, it is annihilated. We repeat, money is not substance, but an impression of legal authority, a printed legal decree."

The foregoing is sufficient to show the necessity of having the statutes behind all metal or other material to make it money.

The full legal tender money of a country is in the interest of the people in general, because money dealers are given no opportunity to speculate on its limited character or defects.

A limited legal tender, like our greenbacks, or a currency without legal tender qualities, like our bank notes, is always a creature of bankers and speculators.

                              • On the outskirts of Los Angeles County there is an area known as Antelope Valley, which is very sparsely inhabited by folks who bought land parcels there with the idea of living independently and away from the city. Many of these landowners have occupied their land for 20 years or more, and built homes and outbuildings that are to their liking. Now Los Angeles county has defined zoning ordinances that cover the Antelope Valley, and regularly show up with "nuisance abatement teams," armed to the teeth, at owner's properties to enforce those codes. Anything that doesn't meet code standards is required to be completely removed from the property unless the owner can meet the standards by the next inspection date. Owners are told that the inspections are the result of complaints which the city has received from "neighbors," but this appears to be malarkey, and most of the people being harassed live nowhere near their closest distant neighbors. There is no question that this assault on landowners by Los Angeles County officials is purely an unconstitutional land grab. Unable to comply with the code standards, which are unaffordable to most of the inhabitants, they are forced to tear down and remove whatever they have built and accumulated on their property, and then have no choice but to leave and go elsewhere. You may not live in Los Angeles County, as these people do, but keep in mind that this kind of abuse can happen anywhere, and is likely to creep across the country if not dealt with now. To have a better picture of exactly what is going on in Antelope Valley, watch this video.
