    Mark here is a link to it;

YouTube - Free Energy Bedini Motor / Generator

Nvisser - tesla scaler waves, possibly, or recirculating emf.

Do you close the switch just for a short moment at a certain time?

The way i do it, i close it as short as possible, opening it when the coil would be at its peak voltage if not shorted.
Thus you could do it at least two times per magnet, on each peak, pos and neg.
I've heard from konehead you can do it several times around each peak.

Here is another guy i just found (again) also doing this:
YouTube - Radiant Energy From Generator Coil
I actually saw it when it was new, but i didn't understand what he was doing at the time.

          Hi,

Do you mean to remove it even from Bedini SG, wouldn't it be "eliminating the protection for my transistor"? Are you sure?

You only need protection for the transistor if there is no charge battery connected with the bedini system.
Atoms move for free. It's all about resonance and phase. Make the circuit open and build a generator.

No, I'm not sure anymore, my neon was malfunctioning, sorry.
I'll have to get some new neons to do new tests on this subject.
But i usually do remove the neons, once the circuit seems to work, to recycle my crocodile-leads

I don't think this is the only way to have an issue.
I have fried my 2N3055 when not properly "tuned" as well.

I would think the NEON, as a low resistance for these high-AC spikes
would route them around back to the coil again ... avoiding the
                transistor.

I guess playing all solid state is safer. I fried 555 many time only because of short circuiting it, never die itself. Never fried 3055 because of too many spike. Even when I turn the circuit on 7 hour a day almost everyday for half year now even on 2 Amp input at 0.75 output or 1 Amp input without load for cooling my drink. Maybe because my circuit don't have 50% duty cycle.
