Spark Gap Question

I've been fascinated following this thread. It seems like there's a lot of learning going on. I have a question about spark gaps. In some pictures of Don's devices and in the PDF it shows a gas discharge tube or encapsulated spark gap being used. Does anyone use these? My understanding is they work at a preset voltage. How would you tune them. Sorry if these are dumb questions or if they've been answered before. _ Thanks

Hi!

You can simulate a LC resonance on the primary and if you take a surge-arrester/lightning arrester you can limit the amount of amps flowing. With more and more resonating amps comes higher voltage, the arrester limits this voltage through releasing amps.

But spark-gaps are more used here and allows for easy tuning to resonance, it's more difficult to get the primary to resonate with a fixed nst freq. But if you run it with de surge-Arrester then I'm thinking the output (receiver coil) gives also more stable output. Probably we can also use a varistor for this.

Because he never had it working. Has anybody seen one of these circuits produce real power like running a 1000 to 2000 watt electric heater, no. His output 60hz stepdown is bs. I put him in a corner and he knew he's been had. Seen the same thing happen on other forums. He'll show up some where else talking about his power system. With no pictures or video.
Modulate the the 30 to 40 khz high voltage in L1 with 60 hz, step down with L2 Rectafi output like the crystal radio circuit, you'll have your 60hz sine wave for power. Transceiver and receiver all in one package.

Yeah, same thing that happened to Romero. Bunch of rude members and new sign ups trying to drive the person crazy more interested in trying to trip someone up than experimenting. I had a hunch about zilano, he behaved much like others you mention. So I did not take him seriously. And nobody should if the user only talks and has nothing to show for. I mean is it so difficult to make a youtube video or even a photo? Too long have we been distracted by such guys. No more. I believe it is because lack of attention. To everyone - if you have something, then tell all about it with every detail or don't even start to talk, this place is not about secrets, it is about sharing and trying to make the world a bit better place. Those suffering with messiah syndrome go somewhere else!

Don Smith and Zilano ( Zilino's output circuit not) have the best circuits I'v seen on all of the energy sites.
All the circuits shown are tuned transformers either step up or step down, not some kind of magic coil. If you look back at the treads you'll see I had nothing to say until he dreamed up two circuits for 60hz out put. With his magic 100 turn primary and his 60hz 25 turn coil with a 230 turn output??The first one a lot of parts and the second one with a light bulb????? Don't ya think he would have used the light bulb circuit first?? The guy was sitting dreaming up ways to get 60hz hoping some one try it. He does not have a working power unit. He was hoping
someone on here would make a working circuit. Your money your time well spent for him.
