The internal diode would also dampen the oscillations
maybe we need to build our own mechanical switch

      setup to fail
Im going to build my own switches
I think reed switches with magnets

Jack Durban comes off as very critical of Steven in this vid but he says that there were no mosfets in the device which I thought was absurd at first but maybe so

so did steven use something like this, but with a reed switch instead of a hall effect sensor.

            AC or DC
DC is like water moving through a hose, it will pull on the vacuum behind it if the power is interrupted.
Have you ever siphoned water through a hose, you wouldnt suck then blow (ac) you continue to move the water in one direction until it creates a vacuum behind it then it will flow on its own.
The path to free energy is DC

He failed to mention that the induction heater, a big air coil of heating element and a pair of capacitors will naturally want to oscillate for a while. The gap is just an impediment but not a block so it jumps it. So, yes he will be able to show a real light show.

So do you think because of the heater coil the spark is bemf?
Could be, I wondered the same thing.
But there are lots of vids of high voltage DC disconnects were the DC arcs.
I remember reading a story where Tesla was tasked with finding a solution to this same problem, disconnecting high voltage DC is dangerous.

Pulse DC is like AC, sure when Tesla pulled the plug on the Edison DC contraption there was a DC arc but Tesla did not engineer those. Tesla patented DC equipment designs using pulsating direct current such as a brush generator also known as a universal motor.

This is why Edison's designs died and were replace by Tesla stuff. Tesla saved us from DC. However the sparkgap coil was a DC coil oscillator that would produce both AC and DC that is a converter circuit. A coil switched on and off is not free energy

Here is an extra experiment energy burner using a TPU

I did the spot welder and I have a few of these builds, follow the picture. Converter 101

Yea I built the zvs driver and made the dual rail back years ago, consumes too much current.
Now Im gonna build the tornado the low pressure zone

Speaking of the zvs i was digging through my endless junk around here and came across this
got a little dusty setting up on a shelf for years.

The search for free energy pretty much consumed my life for about eight years and I had to back off for awhile.
I built all the circuits you see floating around and played with them but realized I was just fumbling around in the dark with no direction.
I thought about the circuits and theory in the mornings drinking my coffee but quit testing until I realized the tpu was a low pressure system and got my direction back.
Now I know what I want to build and will figure it out.
                              I hope you find direction

Bob Boyce toroid and circuit kits are at the Hydrogen Garage. Here is a guy who charges batteries wit it for free. The scooter battery he is charging starts up the controller at 12vdc and by morning is full. Been running for years. You should get an idea from this. Look around his channel for his toroid experiments
