To those contributing to this topic; rather than an engine running on exploding water why not try out Viktor Schauberger's theories and go implosion. Now that would be cool! I suppose this topic is about exploding water though so it's probably off-topic.

I'm pretty lax policing my threads Raui, anything that uses water; water, steam, HHO, to run an engine and power it will do..

A giant melting pot of ideas.

And to test the principles of engine design by experiment.

The ultimate aim would be to implement the ideas into a working engine

One of the first things I'll do is flash boil water in a copper tube, that allows only one way flow. I'll try use ball bearings as valve stops.

The tube should suck water and blow steam.

The steam will be ignited and possibly heat the coil.

I dug into steam research for a couple of months awhile back Ben.
Did some steam making myself ..
You might consider looking at pulse jets.. they work
some what like a a pop-pop ..

sadly, previous historical research trying to use a pulse jet for powering a turbine
has not proven to be a very workable idea.

The point about pop-pop and pulse jet is the back/forth flow of gases...
and simple designs.
