  • Help with numbers

I cant ask all you freedom fighting people for help with my problem.

I have a piece of plexy glass 441mm x 297mm and i need to drill some little hole at equal spaces to each other. the drill bit is 1.5mm(1/16)
I would like to use a compass starting in the middle to do this..
    cant you help me?
if you can will you tell me how you did it?

Could you print out the 'dot matrix' and tape it
underneath the plexi sheet as a drilling guide...?

I recommend printing up the dots or drawing them with a ruler and pencil onto paper.

Stick the paper to a board of wood.

Drill the holes in the wood.

Clamp the plexi glass to the wood, and drill again.

I did that while making nine men's morris boards.

        I forgot

That way you can use a nail to dent the wood so it drills dead centre.

The plexi glass will make the drill bit wander.

Based upon the center point, building up a series of 120 deg triangles arranged as a hexagon, i think 18.56 mm is your figure. scribe a total of 9 circles.
            Cheers

just i dont what to lost holes at the edges.
say if you draw a grid up the side and along the bottom= the grid is your starting point so you lose hole....on the edge.

i hope i making myself clear

To complicate things. Can you do it intermittent, like oranges in a box? Holes are closer and more evenly spaced. More oranges fit in the crate than in orderly rows.
