    Ricksl the circuit your using you should use bigger coils.

    I know some people have it running on small coils but it is very hard to get it going with small coils.


    But here is another circuit that will work very good with smaller coils.

    This one is kinda a Stiffler Slayer hybrid.

    I just put this togeather with a few coils I had sitting around.It should work better with a little variation.
    Also I haven't tried any coils off the collector yet.

    Here is an Exciter circuit that works very good on higher voltages.

    The C2 cap helps control the current intake along with tunning the Exciter.

    The L2b inductor is another pancake coil just like L2.

    thanks i will try that. tracking down some more wire.
    im noticing how the different L2 arrangements affect the distance of coherence. also some variations will kill the oscillation when i touch the L1 wire and some will make the lights brighter when i touch it. very trial and error so far.
    it is still amazing though how the voltage potential between the two wires supersedes the current wanting to flow freely through the transistor..

    i wonder if somehow the low current input is just switching through the L2 at such an ultra high frequency (via the L1 and NOT a conventional transformation through turns) thats its chopping the low current to the super high voltage, and since the frequency is so high it has the tendency to sort of skin effect its way outward?

    simple exciter circuit but im using an mps2222 and a 1k pot, which allows me to tune it down to run from the AA. my "tray" is currently an old HD aluminum case. the LED's cohere from a good 3 inches away but only when i ground them with my body.

    next step, more towers!

    Welcome to the Forum.And thank you for posting your results.

    Here is one simple mod you can try.Adding a second L2 coil comming off the negative side of the battery going thru the switching diodes and back to the transistor base.

    You don't have to use the second L1 coil with it.But the output is a little better with it.
    You can also make a lot bigger pancakecoil and just set it on top of the second L2 coil.

    The L2b coil should be the same size as the first L2 coil.

    When using this just try it just off one AA battery first.

    You will notice the output from the one AA battery is close to the output from a 6v battery.

    i just wanted to chime in as one of the people with lesser quality constructions that i got the exciter to work and im very happy with it lol..

    Hi Xee!

    The xenon beaker is easier to light wirelessly than the filament bulbs - the big filament bulbs and halogen bulbs will only work on 12V input (with mosfets) and 32V for the MJE 13007 (thanks for the heads up for this transistor!)

    The xenon beaker works wirelessly even with one of those small 9V alkaline battery (im using IRF 730 at the mo)- but the gas only ionises half way round the beaker.

    exciter lighting halogens wirelessly. A beautiful glow similar to xenon (but brighter). Also a hand held jacobs ladder. Using an MJE 13007 (1.5K resistor)

    I can get the halogens lit on 12V with mosfets. (IRF 730 and 100 ohm resistor)

    Hi guys!

    Im pleased to say one of the 15 year olds that i teach has now built hs own exciter. The guy who just came round to fix my printer walked away with exciter plans and advised me with some other transistors and diodes i could try - he was also a tesla fan, and he loved it! Everyone loves the exciter.

    Anyway, I found 10 36W CFLs sitting outside the school in the snow waiting to be thrown away.....waste not want not! I took 3 home, and can get 2 to light (as well as an 18W one) with my 15V input - lights up the whole room very nicely!

    Thanks for the interesting new vids slayer. Fascinating as always. well done!

    Alternative to cat pendulum circuit

    This is a great alternative to the other circuit because of the minimum parts needed. You will need to program this, so only one downfall. The led is to indicate what phase it is going through: north polarity or south polarity.

    My last test I let the Exciter run for 15 hours before turning it off.
    The voltage in the battery was 1.1v after running 15 hours and lighting the 39 led's.

    For this test I removed the Sgate and added an AV plug to the bottom of the second tower.

    Adding the second L2 coil and tower made a big difference in the main L1 coil output.
    The field around the second tower is very weak.But it sure helps the main L1 coils output.

    I'm really not sure if the Sgates helping or not yet.But It's been over 12 hours now and the light is still going very bright.

    Later today I'll make a new video showing the coil specs and the circuit I'm using.
