    Good find

Close enough to what I found. I thought I downloaded about 4-5 old books with similar charts but can't find them.

        Jetijs,

        Ask local jewelers.

          Thanks Aaron
That ebay seller has only 9 feet of wire per package, that is hardly enough to wind a reasonable coil. Will look at local jewelers as you suggest
Anyway, if someone stumbles across a company that can ship this wire to Europe in 1Lb (or bigger) spools, please let me know.
          Thank you!

            Aussie supplier:

Here is an Australian supplier, for us Auzzies.. They do ship international too, Jetijs..

            A&E Metal Merchants.
            A&E Metal Merchants

They can supply 1m length to over 100kg by weight of 0.6 to 2.0mm (thats metric lol), of round or square profile wire. (Non insulated).

The price is approx $54.00 Aus for 1kg (2.5lb) of 1.0mm round profile wire.

The website offers online shopping too.

            Cheers.

thermopiles of the past used it...

I was trying to replicate a thermopile, which called for
German Silver Wire and copper wire.
These two metals, when touching and heated work
              nicely in a thermopile.
I used steel wire and got pretty lousy results.

Isn't it possible the so called anamalous property or
"negative resistance" is simply because when two
different metal types touch -- copper ... and silver or zinc say --
that current is created ala electrochemical reactions?

Stubblefield, with his earth batteries, used a similar trick
100 years ago -- iron wire and copper wire.

So yes ZINC in the wire ... or Silver in the wire ... when connected
to copper wire would induce a current at that connection --
especially when heated (or subject to rapid temperature changes).
I'm willing to entertain, however, that there is more to it ... and
that experimentation is definitely worth doing...
