When I brought my sec to my dad's place a couple months ago, and showed him (cb radio enthusiast from long ago, designed aerials etc) the experiments I posted on youtube, he agreed - it shouldn't be doing that - but then said, ''what's it good for?''

He said the same thing when I showed him my hv magnetic vortex diode.

Ps, I'm making him a damn good torch

Anyway, my point; if it's not increasing our understanding of the methodology of obtaining free (or renewable) energy, the aether, or working towards a useable, useful addition to humanity's arsenal of tricks - are we wasting our time?

''What's it good for?'' is a good thing to keep in mind, for direction of future inquests at the least.

That said, merry xmas, hope you didn't spend your experiments budget on gifts nobody wants

I think the next time your Pop asks you that, you can tell him it is the first prototype of a :

"Paradigm Crusher",

or a "Mind Opener"

Meaning that the first free energy devices to hit the mainstream will not be about their utility... It will be about their Precedence, and their EXISTENCE: that changes everything simply by "being". That's why many smart folks over the years have suggested "Children's Toys" as the medium for the first release of an F-E technology. It makes a lot of sense, imo (lol for one thing, it will make them look pretty silly when they try to attack and suppress it)...

But the idea such a toy would ultimately be "less threatening" to the mainstream is not correct, it could be just as threatening as a "Moray 50kW fuelless home generator", or a "Stanley Meyer Dune Buggy", or a "Tesla Pierce Arrow"... And the Mainstream knows it, and as long as the current climate stands, they will try to suppress such a toy the same as they would a practical invention based on the same tech.

Because they understand the actual utility is not the point:

It is the Precedence; the concept that these things are possible , that will bring down entire shadowy Empires; open Billions of minds to the endless possibilities opening up like the bright new vista of Dawn, the new and strong hope and confidence this brings for a better Future.... Changing our planet for the better, forever.

My Holiday Prayer is: "May this wonderful day for us all come in 2010!"

But it is also true that "God helps those who help themselves": So let us keep working towards our Goals, my friends!

I think all good, solid physics information is useful; even if it's ultimate utility is not immediately apparent.
Ideas are the parts we put together in our imaginations to build things. What may just seem like an interesting phenomenon in and of itself, may be the piece that opens the door to a whole new technology.
That said, we should all periodically step back and ask ourselves where we're going and what we want to accomplish. For example, I spent a long time hopping from one interesting project to another, but never fully exploring any of them. I had no real focus. Without a specific goal, focus becomes diffused. I found myself going in circles and not accomplishing much of anything.
I still love reading about all the stuff everybody is doing, but I'm sticking to one road now. If that road dead ends, I'll pick another, but at least now I'm focused.

I can identify with Ted's dilema, I too have found myself jumping from one project to another and never finishing the one I started. I have even been accused of being a procrastinator., leaving a project for a long period of time then returning to start over again. Sometimes this procrastination is good though, because it gives us time to step back and evaluate our progress, and in doing so, we may gather a new insight into our method of doing things. I am now in the middle of another project, one I hope I will be able to finish. When it's all said and done, I hope we can all work together toward a common goal, this being FE or OU, to help all mankind. They said,"who needs to fly when we have an automobile". Who needs a wheeled wagon, we have horses.Who needs to go into outerspace, or the moon, we have all we need here.Who needs electric cars, when we have gasoline powered ones. The lists goes on and on, but some can't see the forest for the trees.Inventors and experimenters are not satisfied with the staus quo. We are looking for a brighter future. Free energy device is an interesting experiment. I would be glad if something I learn and share can help other people understand the nature better. What I do now is something I want to give to other people. Along the way I learn that it is best that I test or use the device first before giving the device to other people.

However, I have limit, I can not do everything alone. It is a good thing that we have place to share ideas and works like in here in energeticforum.

It is unavoidable that we have to know every aspect of free energy device to make it really works. There are room for improvement or rediscovery. Sometimes we have to make a device without a real use to know what happen or to proof a concept. Sometimes we got occupied with building a concept device we may have forget what we want to achieve.

Building a concept device is not a necessity for me now. I learn that inovations require huge resources. If resources is limited, it is best to learn as much as we can from other people. Now, I would only make a device with my available resource with only info shared by other people. Most of them are a great help.

I do not aim for free energy, a more efficient energy is good enough for me. I will satisfied something that can provide 10% saving with a fraction of cost. Something like halo ring spark plug, magnet in fuel line, radiant charger, cap tuning for motor, etc.

Sometimes we forgot that some technology can already save us money without having to achieve free energy. Radiant charger for instance. I do not need to have a COP>1 charger. With a radiant charger with COP = 0.25 I can already save money because I would never need to buy batteries anymore. Alkaline for my remote, D-Sized zinc carbon for my mosquito bat, nicad for my kid toys; all of them can be charged with radiant charger with 3 watt hour of electricity. If I charge all of them for about 48 hour in a month, then I only have to pay bill for 144 wat hour, about 2 kwh a year. The price of new battery every year would cost me much much more than the cost of 2kwh electricity.

Another is roto verter. Some part of this technology would only need AC amp meter and a stock of HV capacitor. Even arbritary capacitance value would save money to about 10% for electricity bill according to some friend. It sold by snake oil salesman here. It should save more if we do it properly.

Some free energy technology can already save money. They are a good gift for our friends or families. While it may not be usefull for our friends or families yet, a free energy concept device would be a good gift to other free energy experimenter.
