Sorry to hear about the fire, lucky no one was hurt. It would be a good time to remind people to have a working smoke detector or co2 detector in their workshop.

Sigh reminds me of when I returned home to find smoke from one of my coils when the wheel stuck and amps went thru the circuit smoke was all in the room.

I am glad the damage was minor, could of been much much worse.

Very sorry to hear about your fire. I was a volunteer firefighter for 26 years so I know what a mess a small fire can make. You were very lucky to catch it before it got too large. You are a real inspiration to the rest of us with your great building skills. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

A solid state OU device!?

HI Jetis, sorry that happened, but good things usually endures some hardships. Glad nobody is hurt. And it is really wonderful job, very nice thing you made.

Somehow your drawings gives me an idea. Since only a little power in the driving coils seems to divert big amount of magnetic flux, if we could wind some pickup coils around the armatures at both ends (think of the picture when you explain the principles to us), I am afraid you already have an OU device, which could just be a solid-state OU device!

However it's easier to come up with ideas then to have them really working.

Wow, that's exactly the same idea we are talking about.

What kind of efficiency do you get? Are you using laminated pieces to prevent eddy currents? How do you measure your input and output energy? Anyway, good luck to your endeavor!

I ts not easy to develop solid state parallel path to become MEG. Simply because If you only put the coil on side bar parallel path becomes transformer . You mast separate driven coil of pickup coil not only physical but temporally in time.Simply said, when you switch driven coil ,pickup coil mast be disconnected from load ,sound simple but it isn't. Anyway it is worth trying

Yes zhorv324! you are correct

You only want the pickup coils to take the Permanent Magnet flux movement (changes) but not the flux created by the switching coils.
