  • Hi Jetijs ,I really know how you feel about motor but don't give up. I put two picture off new motor of Italian guys(they says efficiency about 95-98%). If you look closely you will see that guys use many turns off thicker wires ( not round but flat profile)

    • Thanks Ted, your approach looks very promising, I think Lidmotor did something similar with one of his joulethief circuits where the cap on the output was needed to be at a certain voltage to light the lights up fully from a separate winding. Thanks

Thank you for the heads up That motor looks great, it is a six pole motor but I wonder why can it achieve only 98% efficiency? Because the 6 pole motor on the video on the beginning of this thread (also by Italian guys) showed COP way over 1 on the virtual trainer test stand. What is the difference between that motor and this one you show me?
      Thank you!

      • Sorry Jetijs I had to mach work (for living of course) and for few days I don't even see my comp. About your question about Italian gay and first motor I only understand that efficiency off motor is changed to 88-90% after they do test on Italian university with precise dynamometer ..After, they decide to rebuild motor with new geometry of stator. New motor have confirmed efficiency 94-98% in wide range of load(rpm). They use only one coil with heavy wire and with only 2cm thick stator pull about 2kw (they say )My personal opinion is that geometry is wrong and misleading from Flynn, and that is reason why i go to axial flux geometry of my next motor(simply 8parallel path device in circle "stator" and two rotor disc on each side of stator .Maybe i succeed this time . Anyway keep trying

        • Hi zhorv324
          Thanks for the info.
The results of the analysis of my core material came in. Have a look:

The report is missing the overall material percentage table, but I thing that everything is clear from the pictures above. I am no expert, but it looks like regular silicon steel to me.

            • today i am looking for people who want to replicate joe flynns motor/generator i am an electrical engineer with electronics knowledge
i have been in and out of the motor winding industry for over 20 years
and have access to many machines to produce motors
so far i have replicated the simple model with 2 coils 2 magnets
with the gauss reading 0 units one end and 4 units the other
i have 5 people i am going to studdy with we have set up a lab to produce
the first motor useing our first model
i will post the dimentions of the model here soon for people to build
              iron size,magnet size,turns,and gauge
              cheers
