  • Using copper for connections to batteries and criss cross wiring

    I have found this much cheaper. You do have to be careful about shorts, but so much cheaper than standard connectors.

    I reckon it would be easy enough to apply some kind of plastic coating on the copper to prevent shorts.

      Yes, I have been looking at others comments, so far I think either shrink tubing or old garden hose would improve the setup. In a pinch I guess you could use electrical tape.

      What I do is simply wrap electrical tape on all my wrenches I use to work on the batteries, and I stay awake when I do any connections.

        What about plasti-coat dip? You can get it in aerosol can too.
