Plasma Ignition in Lieu of Firestorm Spark Plugs

Can we achieve a similar affect by using a plasma ignition instead of Firestorm spark plugs since the Firestorm plugs are not readily available?

If so, does anyone have any good circuits for a plasma ignition?

Firestorms work well with standard and HEI ignitions . When you start upgrading you will rapidly overpower the Firestorm plug . With a good plasma circuit you need a dedicated plasma plug to get good service life .

All the answers you need about the plasma circuits are in here:

I understand that the thread is very long, but everything is in there.
      Thanks,

It's better to wear off by working than to rust by doing nothing.

I haven't seen any Firestorm spark plugs out there for sale. I was wanting to get some and test my mpg improvement. Thanks.

Sadly the only way to get Firestorm plugs is to hand make them. I keep hearing rumors that they will be available soon , but nothing yet. As far as mileage is concerned I got 6% improvement by changing to Firestorm replicas in a Chevy 350 TBI motor

              Hi moose53,

I had heard it said somewhere that some of the original testers of the Firestorm spark plugs were getting 75% mpg improvement. 6% hardly seems worth all the effort. Thanks for sharing your statistics with me.

              Best Regards,

The 6% improvement was with only changing the plug and not adjusting anything else . When used as part of a total system upgrade you can get better numbers , although I did not find anyone who was able to get 75% improvement. Even at $10.00 a plug it would make sense to run them just by them selves
