  • Using human body as oscillator is painfull!

WARNING - THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS!!!

SSG, Radiant oscillator, Bedini monopole, Joule Thief, high voltage driver, TPU, coil collpase circuit primary can reach over 1000V !!!

See post 7 for proof and corrected circuit

    Old post:
Here is my version of stinging/painfull/hurting human oscillator.
This is a simple circuit. Two transitor, two resistor and one transformer or coil. Load is optional but highly very recommended since that would reduce the paint.

Remember how coil collapse current can reach hundreds of volts? Now it is your body that will absorb that hundreds of volts.

    circuit:

YouTube - Human body as oscillator, it hurt

This can become handy on emergency. You can just tie the connection instead of soldering. However, I suggest you to be smarter than me and try the earth ground or something. I don't have one.

I will tell you tomorrow how this can affect health. I currently feel just like being shocked with 220V.

    PS, it hurts

PPS, it really hurt if you grab it tight, loosen up at first and then gradually tighten.

PPS, only do this if you brave enough and using only 12V or bellow! And ADD LOAD!

I think the circuit could be made more simple.

    Edit:
Yes, a 500K ohm variable resistor would do fine. Stupid me......

I've made those types of "connections" before. It wakes you right up.

Really, this is a terrible post . At least put a disclaimer somewhere in big red writing. You never know when an unsuspecting noob will come along and try this on his 90 year old gran or someone with a pacemaker and puff, gone

How to nearly kill yourself. Tie a strong rope on a good load bearing structure that can hold no more than 12 stone. Stand on chair, tie rope around neck. Before you kick the chair away, make sure you weigh over 12 stone, you want the load bearing structure to give way so that you don't kill yourself. So if you are brave enough and weigh over 12 stone, go for it

I hope you are okay. Maybe a warning or disclaimer would be good here. Could this be dangerous to someone with a heart condition? Any time you are running a voltage between the left and right hands it can go through your heart. Depending on the frequency and current that can of course be a dangerous situation. I would only be concerned if there are some younger members here who might not understand the danger - if there is one.
When I was a teen I built a circuit in a cardboard tube with foil on the outside that you would grab onto and it would cause your muscles to tighten and twitch. I'm not sure I'd want to try that now.

I see Zooty beat me to it - so until we know for sure about this circuit WARNING - THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS!!!

I'm more interested in voltage output level. Can you also view it on oscilloscope ? What is the wave form ?

              Not kill

Thank you all for the concern, there is no side effect it seems.

If you consider this circuit to be dangerous then all bedini replication should also be considered dangerous. I got shocked by primary winding, not the secondary. I don't bridge the secondary output. However, this do warant red label.

With 12V input the output of this circuit voltage at the primary is around 20V, around 600V at secondary, this is with 9V/240V transformer. With rather big air core coil the primary collapse grounded voltage is 1000V, don't have secondary:

Coil collapse current output can reach 1000V, be carefull!!!

After learning how it work for a while the actual circuit should be:

              YouTube - Sting Oscillator

It is not necessary to use human body. But since I never this kind of circuit before, this is meaningful experience....

The circuit produce rather weird spark. Instead of producing single streamer, it produce multiple streamer. Poor camera do not show it but the streamer is all around and make screetching noise. The loud noise is from the spark gap.
YouTube - Experiment with quenched gap

I also just notice that a light bulb can show a beautifull stream.

One wire connection, very loud noises, lower your speaker volume doooooowwwn

there are ppl that have tried for us every imaginable thing, but maybe this is the center of the power

                          Thats it !

This diode looks fun, i imagine its almost dead.

It's dead. But after I spark it for hours it reconnect, it become a diode with more resistance than normal.
