Hey Ash, sorry to hear about the cores (been there more that I'd like to admit). I've never had any luck with paint, polyurethane or anything else that is easy to apply. I use only plastic, or electrical tape in a pinch. Nothing more frustrating than having your coil short out to the core.

Thanks a lot guys, sorry to have the pain in the butt news, we went out and bought an inductance meter and resistance one so none of this will go down again, good news is we have the solid state built, a new driver circuit will be given to us to trial in the next few weeks. New cores ordered will be here in a few days, we are gonna take some time out to catch up , sorry about this again guys. Pain in the behind.

Hi ALL. We are having "fun" with the inductance (not), ended up just using the the plastic and modifying it for a thinner secure core. The shelite and exopy did not work well(which was first advised to us, never mind) so we managed to get the first windings done another way.

Just checking if its worth spinning on those, apparently we need X amount of mH and we sum how only got X amount. soon as we get a confirm we can mount them all and give her a spin

Okiee...coils will be mounted and spun with our drive circuit this weekend guys.

If there was more people over at the Official we would have more progress, sadly a couple of retired doods work on it Evey now and then and we once per week. But at least Sean is now making some head way. Will have another update on the weekend guys.

Okiee...coils will be mounted and spun with our drive circuit this weekend guys. Will post footage. going to try the coils both in series and parallel, they may be out of phase in series..time will tell. Still need to get a feel for this thing.

Steorn released a new prover video of the solid state working showing scope shots Looks like they sorted some issues with the core material or some thing, any how that prover circuit should be ready to boot for all there including us soon.

Hi All.

We are now onto experimenting with the drive circuit and timing we have to tune the thing and its not easy. Also we want to run a third party test of the results to be sure to report for you guys so please be patient guys we wont sleep till its done . We are starting construction of the new SS prover circuit mean time. Both of them will be put to the same test to validate the orbo effect. Super Caps and real work guys no probes.

No new news yet my friends will post as soon as there is, we are still experimenting with drive circuits for it, then there is the extraction one to go..
This needs CAREFUL measurement and configuration .

Right. Guys Andrew has sent me these photo's we have been treated VERY well on the official forum and one particular engineer Allan has been going out of his way to help us learn the principle and balance the timing etc. In fact he personally went out of his way to help .

So these guys are really winning us over. Now i am told the new balanced unit with the experimental drive circuit is being sent to us for testing. If more talented engineers were on that forum progress would be quicker BTW. Any how.

Here are some snaps of the Rig being sent to us. Will update guys as i have the news. This is only a replication of the unit Steorn did to Prove the Orbo principle its very low power out put, but we can upscale once we learn the principle.
