  • a suggestion to make these things work better:

build the entire ring out of 1 piece of metal, by bending all the sections. That way there's only 1 gap to worry about making good contact. It will be more work at the beginning, but way easier in the long run.

    EDIT:

I also suggested to David that you could use a lens with an interference pattern to see the interference pattern. Perhaps as simply as placing 2 cheapo fresnel lenses on top of each other and offsetting the center point. Or 2 window screens. Or maybe even multiple polarizing lenses with lines of polarization at differing angles.

This ring David has. It locks fine, just didn't exhibit the anomalous effects.

There seems to be significance of the 4-pole effect also. And Ed just a 4-leaf 2nd layer. There may be need for the magnetic bridges, like spark gaps for magnetricity, to open up a gateway of sorts.

It is strange that Jetijs' awesome work is not being rewarded while David just threw tother his own replication,a nd it was better than the first. I SO hope that the effect is not location-related, and Jetijs can get the effects from things like the aluminum under flate, or the carrying cutting board.

      • Cost to send Jetijs a PMH builf by Daivd?

        David,

What would the shipping cost be to send a working PMH you built to Jetijs?

Before sending it, you verify that it you see the fields emanating from it.

does your fan motor contain any magnets at all?..i dont know if this helps...if you would like to examine and test #2 ...let me know...so far no one else has inquired about wanting to check it out...david

i tried different screens, lenses etc...i am trying to get some good polarizing filters....darn low budget!...david

i have been observing a lot with infrared...jet, does your vid cam have IR option?

                  • Hi David
Have not messed around with infrared yet, I have only a low quality surveillance video camera that has IR LEDs around it and is sensitive to IR light, will try that. Also I don't think you should send me your wheel yet, I certainly would like to see the effect, but lets see what Bruce and others will see, if they will see the effect too, then it is probably not location dependent and I have a problem somewhere else. If so, I will indeed take the line after Matt Emery, or I will send you the shipping money for your second wheel or whatever. Anyway, lets wait for what others have to say

Forgot to mention that my rotating platform does not have any magnets, coils or cores in it, all this is removed.
Here are some pictures that are taken with my surveillance camera. Don't see anything.

                    Thanks,
                    Jetijs

It's better to wear off by working than to rust by doing nothing.

                    • Witsend, I was just trying to rationalize in my own mind what would be causing the rainbow effect I see in David's PMH. Just thinking aloud, I guess. I will have to build one to experiment with to and study these effects when I can find the time. Rainbows are usually a prismic effect of water, although gravity could possibly distort ambient air to cause a mirage effect. But this is mainly due to heat. So I am just grasping at straws, not knowing what is causing these effects we are seeing. Good Luck. Stealth

                      • Hi David,

I can not find the post, so if you have stated the following already, sorry about that... But, exactly what size battery are you using for your "lock"? Everyone seems to be using different amounts of current, and these different amounts of current produce stronger locks, etc. But sometimes, less is more.

Did you mail the device locked?

Just some things I have been pondering....

                        Kind regards,

                        Bruce

the device is locked and tested...i also put in two mineral samples that tested well...the battery is a 9.6vDC from my old makita drill...i packed it well, it should arrive ready to test...did you get the tracking #?...you should keep it away from big magnets, they might disturb the lock...david

David, what do you see when you turn off the light (if possible a complete darkness in a basement, or under thick blanket) when you observe the wheel? can you see color too?
