Disintegration of Magnets
Hi. Recently I placed a small (alnico?) refrigerator magnet in physical contact with a locked PMH, and I think this may have caused the side of the magnet that touched the PMH to physically break-down?
Basically this magnet was very small, might have been a rare earth magnet, I'm not sure, but when I took it away from the PMH the shiny metallic surface quickly began to wear off exposing the dull, grainy interior.
I realize this is a not very scientific observation, but I'm wondering if others have observed similar results with composite magnets?
