Inventors and scientists who have allowed themselves to be threatened into silence out of fear, greed, or the misguided belief that mankind isn't ready for free energy, also share some of the blame.

Whoever it is that sits with the power realized a long time ago that all you really need to do to control the masses is to control public opinion.

When it comes to renewable energy, that has successfully been done. Most people know Solar and wind work but you need money and space to set those up and they are expensive, complicated and a mystery for most.The average person also feels they are no comparison to the voltage that pours out of their wall sockets in abundance.

As for other alternative energy sources, no one has made the type of case that is required to prove to the public that they really work or should be taken seriously. Maybe they do work and there are a thousand reasons why these technologies haven't been unveiled but it all plays right into the common belief that they all simply do not work and are not an alternative energy source.

@Jules Tresor I think the operative word (no pun intended) in Orion's description of their supposed troubles is "Intelligence Agency", which means Masons, Jesuits, or some other blood drinking, baby killing, satan worshiping, bull**** secret society. I don't believe a word of it anyway.

Its not a big deal but we could print stickers that says "CLOSED DO TO ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER." or "BOYCOTT BP" And label any BP gas station in the country or Abroad. We'll add a federal symbol make it look official.
But You'll get locked up...Does it matter to you?? Can you afford it??

I hear Ash, he is saying the right words. But this doom and gloom,angry citizen B*llsh*t, the rest of you are talking is just the same thing the politicians practice "TALK!!!"

Did you fill your automobile up today?? Did you go to work??? Did you use a credit card to pay for your gas or anything else???
YOUR THE PROBLEM NOT THE SOLUTION, REMEMBER THAT!! YOUR JUST CRAPPY CONSUMER WHO CAN TYPE HIS/HER 's RHETORIC.

Permanent Boycott on BP

"BOYCOTT BP"

I'm up for a PERMANENT BOYCOTT on BP. Maybe someone here can make
a website on it with sample buttons, etc... that people can take and post
on their websites.

The website should have a running total of the number of people that
pledge to never buy gas from BP ever again regardless of what they do to
"clean up."

@ Matt BOYCOTT works...but keep in mind just because the sign on the station says something other than BP doesn't mean you aren't burning their gas....BP is a huge REFINER...look it up. (I've heard that CITGO is all Venezuelan gas but don't know for sure.) If you're serious about BOYCOTT or RESISTANCE (I suspect you're not) you'll have to do more than burn another brand.

Try missing a meal once in awhile see how that hits you.

OT, but a friend just told me he's vasted yesterday, for no real reason. Feels awesom today. There's something to that. I just can't imagine it myself. Even when I'm really ill, I have a huge appetite. I'm a bit of an athlete though, burn more junk than the average BP refinery.

I know about 30% of Exxon's gas is refined by BP. Citgo's gas belongs to who ever will refine it including BP. They have no refineries of any capacity in Venezuela.
Shell is separate. Hess is separate.

And you can go ahead and skip a meal if you want. I am not Gandhi. I don't believe for a minute that there is a peaceful solution to dealing with these people. In fact I will not even describe my definition of what needs to really happen to change these peoples buisness practices.

I know of you only what I've seen here. As for my suspicions, don't sweat it, I suspect everyone.

CITGO may not have any notable refineries in Venezuela, however, they are Venezuelan and they are refiners. I don't know if there are any real alternatives in the market place for sellers of gasoline, but something about that Chavez guy and Venezuela gets oil people's panties in a bunch, and I like that about them.

Yeah, there are a lot of private label independent gas stations that could
be supplied by any of the main companies.
