what do you think is happening to Jupiter?

My theory? I believe its exhibiting a possible change in its magnetic field, much as the earth has been proven to have done 200+ times in the past as can be shown by registering magnetite direction in lava flows.

Pretty interesting and very curious. It looks to me as though it has joined the northern band as it is now bigger? Any one have any theories?
Some expect it to come back as it has in the past. Who knows.

Much like Earth, it is probably going under a magnetic pole shift since we are approaching the Milky Way's galactic plane. I would say that the reason for such drastic change in the appearance is the fact that Jupiter is comprised mainly of gasses. This fact would manifest itself more visually than the appearance of the earth.

Anybody else notice an abnormal amount of rain in the United States lately? Especially in the southeast?

yes Dave. Thats what i was thinking as well. As the largest planet in our system and the most involved with the sun as a result of its mass, I'm going to be watching it closely now.

Yes Aromaz. I had taken note of that part of the article as well. However cloud cover as a result of eruptions wouldn't explain what appears to be a now larger mass to the northern hemisphere? Thats is how it would look to my eyes anyway.

I wouldn't discount the idea that it is still there where it is supposed to be yet. I guess thats why i'm asking for opinions. It appears to me as a shift in mass as opposed to cloud formation above.

Astronomers say we passed it 3 million years ago and are moving away from it. I have read one of these cycles takes 26-33 million years and a revolutions around the galaxy takes somewhere of 200 - 250 million years. We only know our perpendicular position to within 20 pc (parsecs) and our distance from the center of the galaxy within 10,000 light-years, so anyone claiming knowledge of a precise time of our crossing is exaggerating the facts.
We could be moving into higher density space that could be affecting the suns heliosphere and having a direct effect on our solar system. To many unknowns.
I see it as when we were trying to learn how to figure longitude and latitude, no one knows these things with certainty yet.

it seems to me that you dont know in what to believe in the middle of so much good and wrong information!

from the documentary's i have seen, it is proved by the scientific community that in the december of 2012 will ocur a galactic plane, where the earth, sun, an center of the galaxy will be completely aligned with each other! as predicted by the Maya's calendar! maybe the scientific community is wrong, but i trully believe in the ancient maya's...

they predicted a lot of events that really happened in the past, and written that info thousands of years ago!

Our solar system is mostly flat, I mean all planets are rotating around sun in the same plane. What if magnetic shift of Earth poles is not what we expect but just a shift of SOLAR SYSTEM PLANE ? That would affect ALL planets, right ?

IF Nibiru (aka Marduk) or one of its satelites) was going to come near earth in Dec 2012; we would have seen them coming today. They are surely not moving faster than the speed of light; their images would have been visible long time already.

In fact the best authority on the subject of Nibiru is Dr. Sitchen; and his
calculation only point the ealiest VISIBILITY 2016. IF.

On the issue of Galactic plane and allignment; it is time to do proper research and really see what is the time scale, datum and facts. We are VERY far from that! Not even the planets will allign on one side of the sun on given 23 December 2012.

However, there are indicators of regular serious incidents on a 13,000 plus/minus year cycle. This is more likely to be due to Cosmic radiation from
a distant star or nebula.
