  • To increase his speed, the skateboarder crouches down in the straight part of the half-pipe (as shown in the figure above). Then when he enters the curved portion of the half-pipe he lifts his body and arms up, which results in him exiting the pipe at greater speed than he would otherwise.
    Physics Of Skateboarding

Is the two-weight system G-center of mass shifting i.e. ri > rf?

Note that two weights separated by the compression spring, on the single pendulum arm, should create the same effect.

It doesn't matter if the weights are spring mounted.
The energy needs to be put in first.

Unless the inventors can show that they are not confusing kinetic energy and torque, let's just focus on more meritable technologies.
The whole layout of this device can be simplified to a single weight, the pusling can take place in a different position on the cycle, and the performance will be exactly the same.

The two mass pendulum is not rigid therefore, due to gravity the force couple distorts the frame elastically.
One mass model will not generate this gravitational moment.
Pulsing in the direction of gravitational forces is more effective then on the up swing.

I'd like to see proof of that in math.
That a person can input energy on top of gravity's doesn't make it more efficient. The person added all the kinetic energy with muscle energy, 1:1 , plus overhead and losses.

The universe is in continues motion.
The earth rotates on semi elliptical spiral and follows the sun 300-600 mi/sec
in at least six coordinate systems (its axis, sun, galaxy…).
The skateboarder only changes the center of mass thus induces rotation and the fabric of space (known by other names) does the rest, see:

Any similarities in the "Torque vs Pulse-angle" graphs?
