suchayo....i agree with armageddon.....that is not an anti gravity helicopter.......its simply the same optical effect as when you have a wheel turing under a light thats flickering at the same frequency and the wheel appears stationary (more common than you might think )

Actually it is not entirely true. An example of scalar wave is "sound wave" basically it is a wave of pressure. Pressure is scalar value, hence the wave is also scalar.

A contra example is transverse EM wave. In this case, it is a wave of E and B field, and those are vectors. Therefore, this is non-scalar wave, vector wave or call it whatever you want.

Of course, both waves have directions, so scalar wave is not entirely scalar. Bet there is such a thing as scalar wave. Again, plasma wave, or wave in charged area of gass, also is scalar. Sound wave is not scalar else you will never ear anything, it oscillate so the amplitude of the pressure change.By definition there no "Wave" who can be classified as scalar, if you have a wave that mean there a oscillation so no scalar definition for it, simple as that.
